2025 Shore Sports Insider All-Shore Football Third Team

THIRD-TEAM ALL-SHORE

QB – Owen Robson, Sr., Middletown North  

The All-Class A North first-team pick helped the Lions reach their first sectional final since 2016 and beat rival Middletown South twice in one season for the first time. He finished with 1,876 yards passing and 10 touchdowns and ended his career with 3,668 yards passing and 26 touchdowns.

QB – Matthew Rossi, Sr., Point Beach 

Named the Class D South Player of the Year by the coaches, Rossi threw for 2,264 yards and a school-record 24 touchdowns with only four interceptions to help the Garnet Gulls win their first division title since 2019.

QB – BlairCarter Gagneron, So., Matawan 

The sophomore generated more than 2,000 yards of offense in his first season as the starter with 1,804 yards passing and 13 touchdowns and 283 yards rushing and 8 touchdowns to earn All-Class C North honors from the coaches.

RB – Tyler Gustafson, Sr., Monmouth 

Gustafson helped the Falcons bounce back from a one-win season to finish 5-5, as he rushed for 1,237 yards and 12 touchdowns while also catching 13 passes to earn All-Class D South honors from the coaches.

RB – Zion Jones, Sr., Lakewood

Jones was the workhorse of the Piners’ offense with 1,396 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns on 239 carries to earn All-Class C South honors from the coaches.

RB – Eddie Novatkowski, Sr., New Egypt 

Named the Class D South Offensive Player of the Year by the coaches, Novatkowski ran for 873 yards and 11 touchdowns and also caught 10 passes for 130 yards and a touchdown. He also had 20 two-point conversions for a team that reached the Central Jersey Group 1 playoffs.

RB – Kingston Pinnock, Jr., Neptune 

The Scarlet Fliers’ power back rumbled for 746 yards and 12 touchdowns to earn All-Class D North honors and help Neptune win its first overall division title since 1998 and win nine games for the first time in 14 years.

WR – Ari Fraser, Sr., Red Bank

Fraser had 43 catches for 450 yards and 7 touchdowns to help Red Bank win a share of the Class C North title, and he was named to the All-Division team by the coaches.

WR – Adam Urs, Sr., St. John Vianney 

The senior wideout finished with 45 catches for 643 yards and 7 touchdowns to earn All-Class B North honors from the coaches. 

WR – Clyde Ferris, Sr., New Egypt 

Ferris was among the Shore Conference leaders in receiving yards with 789 yards on 35 catches to go with eight touchdowns. He was an All-Class D South pick for the Warriors.

WR – Logan Burbank, Sr., Middletown South 

Burbank was selected to the All-Class A North first team after finishing with 40 catches for 569 yards and 7 touchdowns while also running for a pair of scores and returning a kickoff for a touchdown.

TE – TJ Walsh, Jr., Red Bank Catholic 

A tough blocker for the top-ranked Caseys, Walsh also had 15 catches for 122 yards and a pair of scores to earn All-Class A North honors from the coaches.

OL – Malachi Matson, Sr., Neptune

Matson was an All-Class D North pick by the coaches for the division champs and helped lead an offense that averaged 32.3 points per game in Neptune’s best season in 11 years.

OL – Caden Sternlieb, Sr., Red Bank Catholic

The 300-pound FCS prospect was an All-Class A North pick by the coaches after helping pave the way for an RBC offense that averaged 31.7 points and 357.8 yards per game, while producing a 2,000-yard passer and an 1,800-yard rusher.

OL – Logan Cooley, Sr., Point Boro 

Cooley was an All-Class A South pick by the coaches after helping the Panthers rush for 1,812 yards as a team.

OL – Gus Stedronsky, Sr., Wall 

An All-Class B North selection, the 6-foot-3, 260-pound Stedronsky helped the Crimson Knights average 22.4 points per game on their way to winning the division title and reaching the Central Jersey Group 2 final. 

OL – Rob Yakovchuk, Sr., St. John Vianney

An All-Class B North pick by the coaches, Yakovchuk helped the Lancers average 24.4 points and 303.1 yards per game. He is committed to Long Island University.

UT – Jake Clayton, Jr., Point Boro 

Clayton, who was a first-team All-Shore pick last season, battled through injuries to finish with 614 yards and five touchdowns rushing while also throwing two touchdowns as the Panthers’ triple option quarterback, and he also had 27 tackles and an interception in the secondary.

UT – Carson Abbato, Jr., Southern 

Named the Class B South Offensive Player of the Year by the coaches, Abbato was the quarterback on a Rams team that averaged 28.5 points per game, as he threw for 1,442 yards and 16 touchdowns and also ran for a pair of scores.

K – Jack Sullivan, Jr., Point Boro 

Selected as the first-team, All-Class A South kicker by the coaches, Sullivan booted three field goals with a long of 42 and also went 16-for-16 on extra points. His 31-yard field goal in the fourth quarter won the game in a 17-14 victory over Toms River North.

Defense

DL – Lucas Favorito, Sr., Southern 

Favorito was a challenge to block up front on the Shore Conference’s top-scoring defense as he posted 53 tackles, six sacks, and six tackles for a loss. He was named a first-team All-Class B South selection by the coaches.

DL – Kam’ron Morse, So., Toms River North

Morse was a breakout star in the trenches for the Mariners after seeing some time as a freshman a year ago. He compiled 115 tackles, five sacks, and 22 tackles for a loss in addition to two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries and was named a first-team All-Class A South by the coaches.

DL – Asher Cummins, So., Red Bank Catholic 

Cummins was part of a standout defensive line for the Caseys and finished with a team-high seven sacks to go with 62 tackles, 12 tackles for a loss and three forced fumbles to earn All-Class A North honors from the coaches for the division champs.

DL – Ivan Padilla, Jr., Howell 

Padilla was one of the top pass rushers in the Shore Conference as he finished the season with 13.5 sacks to go along with 43 total tackles and 14 tackles for a loss. He was named a first-team All-Class B North selection by the coaches.

DL – Nick Loughrey, Jr., Manasquan 

Loughrey was an All-Class C North pick by the coaches who finished with 48 tackles, 14 tackles for a loss and 5 sacks for the division co-champs, who allowed 14.9 points per game.

LB – Luke Barry, Jr., Manasquan

Barry was an instant impact performer for the Warriors after transferring in from Florida as he recorded 52 total tackles, four tackles for a loss, two interceptions, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery despite missing two games due to injury. Barry was named a first-team All-Class C North selection by the coaches as he helped lead the Warriors to a share of the division title.

LB – Austin Jarvis, Sr., Central 

The All-Class B South pick by the coaches had 98 tackles, 12 for a loss, for an eight-win Golden Eagles team.

LB – Danny Breen, Sr., St. John Vianney 

Breen racked up 101 total tackles in his final year with the Lancers. Offensively he rushed for 675 yards and nine touchdowns from his running back position. Breen was named a first-team All-Class B North selection by the coaches.

LB – Mike Marotta, Sr., Shore 

Marotta was an All-Class C North pick by the coaches who led the Blue Devils with 105 tackles to go with 14 tackles for a loss and two interceptions.

LB – Jack Scalabrini, Sr., Point Boro 

Scalabrini racked up 89 total tackles, a sack, and nine tackles for a loss for the Panthers and was named a first-team All-Class A South selection by the coaches.

DB – DJ Carter, Sr., St. John Vianney 

A speedy cornerback, Carter was a lockdown defender in coverage where he recorded an interception that he returned for a touchdown, 34 total tackles, and a sack. He also was one of the better kick returners in the Shore Conference scoring twice on returns of 90 and 85 yards. Carter was named a first-team All-Class B North selection by the coaches.

DB – Zy’shun Carroll, Jr., Central

Carroll snatched four interceptions, including one he returned for a touchdown, in addition to picking up a fumble that he returned for a touchdown. He finished with 26 total tackles on defense along with two receiving touchdowns and a rushing touchdown on offense. Carroll was named a first-team All-Class B South selection by the coaches.

DB – Welman Crooms, Sr., Matawan 

Crooms was a top cover corner for the Huskies who had 27 tackles, 2 for a loss, and 2 interceptions, while also catching 26 passes for 448 yards and two touchdowns on offense to earn All-Class C North honors from the coaches.

DB – Ricky Dillon, Sr., Brick Memorial 

Dillon helped patrol the back for the Central Jersey Group 4 champions with 42 tackles and an interception, while also catching 19 passes for 362 yards and three touchdowns to earn All-Class A South honors for the division co-champs.

UT – Lukas Iliescu, So., Southern 

The twin brother of fellow linebacker Niko Iliescu, Lukas was another important member of one of the Shore’s top defenses with 51 tackles, 13 tackles for a loss and 3.5 sacks. He also ran for a pair of touchdowns and caught 13 passes for 216 yards and three touchdowns as a tight end.

UT – John Jeleniewski, Sr., Raritan 

Jeleniewski was a standout linebacker who had 82 tackles, 6 for a loss, along with an interception and a forced fumble. He also ran for a team-high 759 yards and 9 touchdowns and was an All-Class D North selection by the coaches. 

P – Joe Muzzillo, Sr., Jackson Twp.  

Muzzillo was a special teams weapon for a second straight season for the Jaguars, averaging 41.6 yards per punt while also hitting five field goals with a long of 41 yards and going 16-for-18 on extra points. He was an All-Class A South pick by the coaches.
