Second Team All-Shore

 

Attack – Gabe Pape, Jr., Red Bank

A First Team All-American Division selection by the SCLCA, Pape took the torch from his older brother, Andrew, as the Bucs’ top offensive player and put together a breakout season with career-highs of 50 goals and 20 assists for 70 points. He had 13 multi-point games, including two goals and three assists when Red Bank beat CBA, 10-6, for the first time in program history. He set career-highs with six goals and nine points in a win over Red Bank Catholic and had six goals and two assists in a state tournament win over Princeton. Pape is committed to Boston University.

 

Attack – Nicholas Caruso, Jr., Toms River East

Caruso led the Shore Conference in goals and points and set program records with 81 goals and 34 assists for 115 points. He recorded multiple points in all 20 of the Raiders’ games and scored multiple goals in 19 of 20 games. He had at least six points in 13 games, including a career-high 11 points in a win over Toms River North. He began the season with 11 straight games scoring three or more goals and had 15 such games throughout the season. His play helped Toms River East put together the best season in program history as the Raiders went 15-5, won the Colonial Division title for the first time, and reached the South Group 3 sectional semifinals. Caruso was selected as the Colonial Division Offensive Player of the Year. He will enter his senior season with 167 goals and 81 assists for 248 points.

 

Attack – Wyatt Capro, Jr., Wall

Capro scored a team-leading 54 goals and added 21 assists for 75 points and was a Second Team All-American Division selection. He recorded multiple points in 16 of 23 games with a season-high seven points in wins over Mainland and Absegami. He scored twice versus Manasquan in the South Group 2 sectional final, and scored four goals each in regular-season games against Manasquan, Holmdel, and Shore. Capro is committed to the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) and will enter his senior season with 91 goals and 33 assists for 124 points.

 

Midfield – Joseph Whitehouse, Jr., Rumson-Fair Haven

A First Team All-American Division selection by the SCLCA, Whitehouse enjoyed a breakout season with 37 goals and 19 assists. He scored twice in the Shore Conference Tournament final, including the game-winning overtime goal in a thrilling 15-14 comeback win over Manasquan that gave the Bulldogs their 10th SCT title. Whitehouse had 14 multi-point games and scored multiple goals in 10 games. He posted season-highs in goals (4) and points (6) twice in wins over Wall and Randolph. He will enter his senior year with 86 career points.

 

Midfield – Luke Tortorici, Sr., Barnegat

The Constitution Division Offensive Player of the Year, Tortorici returned with authority after missing nearly all of his junior year with an injury to finish tied for second in the conference with 114 points. He scored a career-high 68 goals and added 46 assists to finish as Barnegat’s all-time points leader with 258. Tortorici recorded multiple points in 20 games, including a career-high nine points twice and a career-best seven goals in a win over Red Bank Catholic. He helped lead the Bengals to an 18-4 record and the first division title in program history. Tortorici will continue his career at York College.

 

Midfield – Kyle Sininsky, So., Southern

A Second Team All-American Division selection by the SCLCA, Sininsky was the top scorer for a Rams team that finished No. 5 in the final SSI Top 10 and reached the South Group 4 sectional final. In his second year as a starter, Sininsky scored 46 goals and added 41 assists for 87 points, leading the team in all three categories. He scored a career-high five goals in a win over Wall and recorded a career-high six assists and nine points in a win over Holy Spirit. Sininsky posted multiple points in 20 of Southern’s 21 games and scored multiple goals 13 times. He will enter his junior season with 69 goals and 63 assists for 132 points.

 

SSDM — Beau Devine, Jr., Rumson-Fair Haven

Devine was a Second Team All-American Division selection by the SCLCA as a defensive specialist after totaling 26 ground balls and adding three goals and four assists. His play helped Rumson win the Shore Conference Tournament for the 10th time in program history and reach the South Group 2 sectional semifinals.

 

Face-off specialist – Brendan O’Brien, Sr., Shore

O’Brien capped his high school career by finishing fourth in the conference in face-off percentage at 72% and finishing third in ground balls with 172. He was a Second Team All-American Division selection by the SCLCA after helping the Blue Devils reach the Shore Conference Tournament semifinals and finish No. 4 in the SSI Top 10.

 

Defense – Toby Najenson, Jr., Rumson-Fair Haven

A standout defender for the Shore Conference Tournament champion Bulldogs, Najenson helped lead a defense that surrendered 7.1 goals per game. He was selected as a First Team All-American Division selection by the SCLCA. His play helped Rumson win its 10th SCT title in program history with a 15-14 overtime win over Manasquan. The Bulldogs also advanced to the South Group 2 sectional semifinals. Najenson is committed to Brown University.

 

Defense – Danny Sullivan, So., Rumson-Fair Haven

Sullivan emerged as a standout defenseman as a sophomore and was a second-team selection in the powerful American Division. The 6-foot-3, 175-pounder helped Rumson win the Shore Conference Tournament title for the 10th time in program history.

 

Defense – Kody Wagner, Sr., Southern

Wagner was a Second Team All-American Division selection by the SCLCA as the top defender on a Rams team that allowed just 4.9 goals per game. He added one goal. His play helped the Rams go 15-6, reach the South Group 4 sectional final, and finish No. 5 in the SSI Top 10.

 

LSM – James Cadott, Sr., Manasquan

Cadott was a steady player for Manasquan before turning his play up a notch during the playoffs when the Warriors won the Group 2 state title for the first time in program history. A rangy defender, Cadott was excellent at forcing turnovers and starting transition breaks. He was equally adept at finishing in transition with four goals and seven assists, including a goal versus Wall in the South Group 2 sectional final. Cadott will play collegiately at Delaware Valley University.

 

Goalie – Shayne Boresen, Jr., CBA

Boresen was a Second Team All-American Division selection by the SCLCA. In his first year as the Colts’ starting goalie, the junior made 152 saves with a 60.1% save percentage. He recorded a career-high 13 saves in an overtime win over Shore during the regular season and had 12 and 10 saves in Shore Conference Tournament games versus Wall and Manasquan, respectively.
