(5) Toms River East 10, (12) Manalapan 3

Sophomore attackman Gerard Uzzolino netted five goals and distributed an assist to lead the Raiders (11-2) past the Braves (8-9) into the Shore Conference Tournament quarterfinals.

Senior midfielder Nate Cummings registered two goals and three assists and junior attackman Nicholas Caruso scored twice. Senior Tyler Godlesky added one goal. The Raiders will travel to fourth-seeded Shore on Thursday in the quarterfinals.

 

(7) Red Bank 17, (10) Barnegat 7

Sophomore Justin Valentino poured in a career-high five goals to go along with three assists as the Bucs (7-7) pulled away from the Bengals (15-3) to advance to the Shore Conference Tournament quarterfinals.

Junior attackman Gabe Pape and freshman MJ Keating both scored four goals and tallied an assist. Pape scored his 100th career goal on his final goal of the game. Juniors Ryan Deverin and Bennett Lopez also scored a goal. Deverin was active in the midfield, scooping up a team-high eight ground balls. The Bucs will play at second-seeded Manasquan on Thursday in the quarterfinals.

 

(8) Holmdel 10, (9) Howell 8

Senior attackman Brian Volpe scored four goals and senior FOGO Jack Powers was a perfect 22-for-22 on faceoffs as the Hornets (7-7) topped the Rebels (11-3) to advance to the Shore Conference Tournament quarterfinals.

Junior attackman Finn Buchan added two goals and four assists and freshman midfielder Anthony Serini scored two goals and tallied an assist. Junior defender Marcus Cermele added a goal and an assist, sophomore Joey Marino also scored a goal, and sophomore attackman David Perrotti tallied an assist. Junior goalie Jack Tiller saved 10 shots in the victory.

Holmdel will play at top-seeded Rumson-Fair Haven on Thursday in the quarterfinals.
