The Mariners (14-7) fell to the Minutemen (13-6) out of the SJILL. Senior midfielder Ben Misa scored a goal and tallied an assist in the loss. Senior attacker Anthony Montalban and sophomore LSM Reilly Woodman both scored a goal.

Sophomore Gerard Uzzolino scored five goals and distributed five assists, and junior Nicholas Caruso scored five goals and tallied two assists as the Raiders (14-4) routed the Spartans (6-11) to advance to the sectional quarterfinals.
Senior Ethan Kelly added two goals and two assists while senior Nate Cummings notched a goal and three assists. Juniors Austin Weber and Riley Weber, as well as sophomore Colin Heale, each scored once. Heale’s goal was the first of his career.

1-Manasquan 20, 16-Nottingham 1
Senior attackman Brandon Kunz and Ryan Aldi each scored three goals and added one assist as the defending-sectional-champion Warriors (15-3) rolled past the Northstars (10-8) in the opening round of the state tournament.
Manasquan had 13 different players score goals, including the first varsity goals for juniors Joey Dettlinger and James Fogarty and freshman Chris Accurso, as it opened a 15-0 halftime lead. Senior midfielder Kai Donahue scored twice and assisted on another, while freshmen Casey Mahoney and Johnny Kumpf also scored a pair of goals. Senior midfielder Matt Schneider and junior midfielder Lucas Longo had a goal and an assist each. Junior midfielder Jack O’Reilly, sophomore midfielder Dax Klein, and senior LSM James Caddot added one goal apiece.
Senior goalie Pat Loxley started and made three saves to earn the win. Sophomore MJ Femenella and junior Thomas Canning saw action and also made three saves each.
Manasquan will host the winner of Thursday’s game between 8th-seeded Cinnaminson and 9th-seeded Lacey.
6-Barnegat 20, 11-Cedar Creek 2
The Bengals dominated the Pirates to pick up their second state playoff win in program history. In the quarterfinals, Barnegat will play the winner of Thursday’s game between 3rd-seeded Ocean City and 14th-seeded Oakcrest.

1-Rumson-Fair Haven 21, 16-Middle Township 2
Rumson will host the quarterfinals versus the winner of Thursday’s game between 8th-seeded Madison and 9th-seeded Haddonfield.
