Monmouth 63, Lakewood 27

Senior Beckett Langdon led a trio of senior leading scorers on Senior Night as the Falcons (13-6) handled the Piners (1-16). Fellow senior Michael Griffin poured in 12 points and classmate Ahmir Wiggins chipped in nine for Monmouth.

No. 5 Howell 69, Toms River South 47

Junior Jayson Parker scored a game-high 19 points and the Rebels (15-4) put a blowout loss to Middletown South Monday behind them by playing a strong first half in a road win over the Indians (11-10).

Senior Cayden Parker added 14 points and junior Noah Musto pitched in 10 for Howell, which built a 39-23 lead by halftime. Senior Jake Myers scored 11 points to lead Toms River South, which was coming off its biggest win of the season Tuesday night over Point Beach.

Toms River East 71, Central 61

Sophomore Tommy Intintola scored 20 points to go with nine rebounds and classmate Brady Gillen put up 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists to lead the Raiders (9-9) over the Golden Eagles (14-6) for a win that boosts their chances of clinching a spot in the Shore Conference Tournament.

Junior Chase Baillee chipped in 17 points while leading an outside shooting exhibition by Toms River East with four three-pointers. Junior Derek Roth scored a game-high 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Central, which can still win the Class A South division championship by winning at Jackson on Friday night. Senior Elijah Reeder added 13 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots while sophomore Jaxen Carter pitched in 12 points in the loss.

 

Non-Conference

Keyport 86, Academy Charter 39

Senior Kai Arrington pumped in 27 points and the Red Raiders (10-9) coasted to a win over the Panthers (0-9). Senior Casey McCarthy added 17 points and junior Demetrius Attia threw in 10 for Keyport, which had 11 players score at least one basket in the game. Xzavier Holley led Academy Charter with 18 points.
