Forward

Nate Scisco, So., Barnegat

2024 Stats: 13 goals, 7 assists

Scisco continues to build an impressive résumé for somebody who is not even halfway through his high-school career. After a solid showing as a freshman, this season was a full-on breakout as a sophomore. He notched four multi-goal games – including one on opening day vs. Neptune and one in Barnegat’s last win of the season. Scisco recorded his first career hat trick in Barnegat’s 6-0 win over Collingswood in the first round of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group II Tournament.

Player Total Percentage

Jordan Benzon, Central 204 14.16
Noor Eraky, Ocean 110 7.63
Julian Lemus, Neptune 84 5.83
Rowen Joice, TR East 78 5.41

Midfield

Madden Leszczynski, Jr., Central

2024 Stats: 2 goals, 2 assists

A defensive midfielder, Leszczynski’s value to Central mostly stemmed from his ability to win the ball in the middle of the field – both on the ground and in the air – and his aptitude as a distributor in pushing the Golden Eagles’ attack forward. While he scored only two goals, one of them was huge: after taking on three defenders, he buried a shot to give Central a 3-0 lead over Washington Township in a South Jersey Group IV quarterfinal that the Golden Eagles held on to win, 3-2.

Player Total Percentage
Madden Leszczynski, Central 137 10.32
Owen Brackett, Raritan 125 9.42
Trevor Barrett, Marlboro 104 7.84

Marlboro finished second in the Shore Conference in goals allowed per game (0.89) and Roberman joins Third Team All-Shore senior Nick Bisconti as Mustangs to get a nod for participating in that effort. The sophomore also pitched in on the scoring effort, scoring two of his three goals in Marlboro’s two postseason games – a penalty-kick loss to St. John Vianney after a 2-2 draw in the Shore Conference Tournament and another shootout loss to East Brunswick after a 1-1 draw in the Central Jersey Group IV first round.

Player Total Percentage
Alec Roberman, Marlboro 381 16.65

Matt Makower, So., Ocean

2024 Stats: 10 shutouts

Only one goalkeeper in the Shore Conference nailed down more shutouts than did Makower, who finished second behind CBA senior Sean Najdzinowicz with 10 clean sheets. Among his shutouts were a first-round clean sheet vs. Point Pleasant Boro in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group II Tournament, a 1-0 shutout win over Rumson-Fair Haven to send Ocean to the Shore Conference Tournament semifinals, and a 2-0 shutout against Group IV champion Southern during SCT group play.
