Senior attacker Nick Correia netted four goals and dished out two assists to lead the Mustangs (1-0) past the Patriots (0-1). Senior attacker Noah Gambroney added two goals and four assists. Sophomore midfielder Colin Fanning finished with a goal and an assist. Senior attacker Jack Deufemia, senior midfielder Justin Karlbon, and junior attacker Dylan Vandeventer each added a goal. Senior goalie Christian Murphy recorded eight saves.

Toms River South at Brick, 3:45 p.m.

Barnegat 18, Colts Neck 0

No. 9 Holmdel 13, Red Bank Catholic 1

Junior attacker David Perrotti scored a game-high four goals as the Hornets (2-1) cruised past the Caseys (0-3). Senior attacker Finnegan Buchan added two goals and four assists.

The Braves (0-1) fell behind 5-0 at the end of the first quarter and never recovered in an opening day loss to the Raiders (3-0). Junior Cooper Savage scored two goals and recorded an assist in the loss. Senior Nick Tufte and junior Eli Greenberg each added a goal. Junior Ryan Seybuck recorded two assists. Senior goalie Connor Doel saved 19 shots.

New Egypt 17, Winslow 1

No. 6 Shore 15, East Brunswick 3

Senior Jack Maddalone poured in five goals and recorded an assist, sophomore Oliver Matthews scored four goals, and senior Reid Spallone netted three goals and dished out four assists as the Blue Devils (1-0) routed the Bears (0-1) on opening day. Senior Finn Watson added a goal and two assists. Senior Henry Azzolini and sophomore Teagan Miller also added a goal. Sophomore Ryan Cregle recorded three assists. Senior Vinnie Sasso and freshman Connor Greene both had one assist. Junior goalie Joey Longo saved five shots.
