Colonia 75, No. 6 Jackson 50

Sophomore Jayce Rodriguez scored a game-high 19 points and the Patriots (4-6) overwhelmed the short-handed Jaguars (7-3) in the second half to win the opening game at the Boardwalk Classic.

Senior George Boley led Jackson with 16 points, but 41-22 second half in favor of Colonia did in the Jaguars, who played without two injured starters: sophomore forward Mi’Aire Anderson and senior Randy Holmes Jr. Senior Paul Bradshaw stepped into the starting five and delivered nine points in the loss.

No. 1 CBA 64, Linden 56

Junior Avery Lynch scored 24 points to go with six rebounds and the Colts (9-1) topped the Tigers (7-5) in a battle of two of the state’s top 10 teams in the NJAdvance Media rankings, improving their in-state record to 8-0.

Sophomore Izayah Cooper added 16 points and five rebounds, while senior Connor Andree chipped in eight points, 10 rebounds and four assists for CBA, which led by as many as 19 in the second half.

Middletown South 68, No. 2 Rumson-Fair Haven 54

Freshman Ryan Gannon pumped in 18 points to go with eight rebounds and five assists and the Eagles (8-2) rolled through the Bulldogs (10-1), handing Rumson its first loss of the season after opening the year with 10 straight wins.

Senior Matt Trimble added 14 points and seven rebounds for Middletown South, including 12 points in the second half. Senior Nick Cannizzaro scored eight of his 13 points in the first half and also picked off four steals for the Eagles.

Freshman Clint Martin led all scorers with 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Rumson. Junior Casey Moore added nine points and seven rebound and senior Luke Lydon gutted out eight points after suffering a foot injury in the first quarter and hobbling through it for the remainder of the game. Rumson also played without seniors Luke Cruz and Drew Cavise due to injury.

Point Boro 61, Brick 48

Senior Jovin Steinmetz went for 17 points and eight rebounds and classmate Dean Cardia posted a double-double to help the Panthers (4-4) rebound from a Friday loss to rival Point Beach by topping the Green Dragons (1-9).

Cardia finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while junior Hunter Hynes poured in 13 points and junior Landon Hoyle added eight points and nine rebounds for Point Boro.

Junior Sean Nausedas scored a game-high 20 points to lead Brick.

Colts Neck 68, No. 8 Southern 57

Senior Dillon Younger scored a game-high 23 points and the Cougars (5-3) used a sizable fourth-quarter advantage to pull away for a win over the Rams (4-5).

Sophomore Nate Sloane added 17 points and seniors Aidan Bain and Liam Collura each chipped in seven to boost Colts Neck, which outscored Southern, 22-15, in the fourth quarter.

Senior Jake Sliwinski scored 17 points, junior Noah Perna poured in 13 and junior Gavin Gerckens threw in 12 to lead Southern.

Holmdel 61, St. John Vianney 58

Sophomore Anthony Serini scored 12 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter and the Hornets (4-3) battled past the crosstown rival Lancers (3-8).

Senior Jack Vallillo poured in 15 points and junior Collin Bresnick pitched in 10 points for Holmdel. Junior Nicky Mejia led St. John Vianney with 17 points, while junior Danny O’Neill added 14 and senior Jude Mbziira kicked in 10 in the loss.

Red Bank 47, Henry Hudson 45

Junior Justin Valentino scored 15 points and senior Bennett Lopez pitched in 11 points, five rebounds and three assists to guide the Bucs (5-7) to a narrow win over the Admirals (5-4).

Junior JoJo Newell scored a game-high 17 points to pace Henry Hudson and junior Blakely Smith poured in 10 in the loss.

No. 10 Marlboro 71, Toms River East 50

Sophomore Dylan McEwan scored a team-high 23 points and senior Ajay Mathews pitched in 18 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals to lead the Mustangs (7-2) to a one-sided win over the Raiders (5-4).

Senior Drew Lubeck chipped in 13 points, eight rebounds and four assists while senior Nolan Gong added nine points, five rebounds, nine assists and three steals for Marlboro. Sophomore Brady Gillen led Toms River East with a game-high 26 points.

Shore 64, New Egypt 51

Senior Finn Watson scored a game-high 25 points and classmate Andrew Barham threw in 19 to lead the Blue Devils (6-3) to a win over the Warriors (6-4) in a clash between C North and C South division leaders.

Senior Jasias Colon added 10 points for Shore. Senior Nolan Arnold led New Egypt with 22 points and classmate Ryan Reynolds pitched in 11 in the loss.

No. 3 Wall 80, Ranney 63

Senior Brian McKenna scored 16 of his game-high 25 points in the first half and the Crimson Knights (8-0) won an up-and-down game over the Panthers (4-5) on the road.

Junior Nevin Tu added 13 points and five rebounds off the bench for Wall, while senior teammate Dan Hennessy poured in 10 of his 12 points in the second half. Senior Liam Killea posted 10 points, seven rebounds and eight assists in the win.

Junior Andrew Mardahaev scored 17 points while senior Shaan Nayar and junior Ben Schaeffer each pitched in 14 to lead Ranney.

No. 9 Manasquan 54, No. 5 Freehold Twp. 41

Senior Jack O’Reilly scored 11 points, sophomore Sean Bilodeau and senior Jack Lattimer added 10 apiece, and the Warriors (6-4) held Freehold Township’s top two scorers without a point in a road win over the Patriots (6-4).

Junior Logan Cleveland added nine points for Manasquan, which did not allow a single point to either junior Jake Schultzel or John O’Neill. Junior Sam Hawskby scored a game-high 13 points to lead Freehold Township.

No. 4 Red Bank Catholic 58, Lawrence 43

Senior James Hankowski buried six three-pointers en route to a game-high 26 points that led the Caseys (8-2) to a home win over the Cardinals (7-5). Junior Tyler Hager added 12 points, junior Gavin Biasi poured in 11 and senior Ryan Saxton chipped in nine for Red Bank Catholic.

New Brunswick at Long Branch, Noon

Keansburg 58, Noor-Ul-Iman 51

Senior Jaivon Thomas-Conklin scored 18 points and sophomore Taurian Black chipped in 14 to lead the Titans (4-3) to a win over Noor-Ul Iman (3-2).
