Senior Corey Hartnett poured in a game-high 20 points and the Lions (6-8) rolled to a road win over the Blue Bishops (0-14). Sophomore Aidan Kelly added 13 points and six steals while freshman Steven Porter netted a career-high 11 points for Barnegat.
Jason Whittaker knocked down 19 points and Ny’John Kirkpatrick pitched in 16 to lead Asbury Park.
Manalapan 64, Long Branch 32
Junior Dean Aviles scored a game-high 22 points and senior Aiden Sosinov threw in 18 to help the Braves (7-8) double up the Green Wave (5-11). Joshua Guzman and Cameron DeJesus each scored 10 points to lead Long Branch.
Marlboro 55, Middletown South 46
Sophomore Nolan Gong scored nine of his game-high 17 points during Marlboro’s 21-point first quarter and the Mustangs (7-10) closed out a road win over the Eagles (7-10).
Senior Cole Newman scored eight of his 11 points in the first quarter and knocked down three three-pointers and senior Dan Crasto pitched in 10 points, including seven during the fourth quarter for Marlboro.
Junior Matt Trimble scored 11 points and classmate Nick Cannizzaro chipped in 10 to lead Middletown South, which played without leading scorer Brady Hahn and junior center Beckett Oliver — both of whom are in concussion protocol, according to coach Mike Iasparro.
Barnegat 44, Neptune 40
Senior Mason Krey scored 14 points and dished out four assists, leading the Bengals (11-5) to a win over the Scarlet Fliers (10-5) that extends their winning streak to six games.
Seniors Todd Muhammad and Cole Toddings each added 11 points for Barnegat, which did not trail in the game. Muhammad scored eight of his points in the first half, while Toddings also chipped in eight rebounds and three assists.
Senior JayVion Rogers scored 12 points to lead Neptune, while senior Darren Fonrose added 11 points and seven rebounds and junior Jordan Pierre chipped in six points and 10 rebounds.
