USA Softball NJ Shore Conference Softball Scoreboard Friday, April 18

 

Nondivisional

Keansburg 25, Lakewood 8 (4 innings)

Keansburg (2-5) combined for 15 hits in a lopsided win over Lakewood (0-6). Junior Lillian Boccio went 4 for 4 with 2 walks in addition to a triple and 5 RBI’s. Junior Jabnelyz Crespo-Borges was 3 for 4 with 4 RBI’s. Senior Lindsay Rivera went 3 for 3 with 3 RBI’s. Junior A’son Young went 2 for 2 with 2 RBI’s. Boccio earned the win on the mound with 4 strikeouts.

 

Nonconference

Old Bridge 9, Matawan 6

Matawan (3-4) jumped out to a 5-2 lead on Old Bridge (4-5) after 2 innings, but Old Bridge scored 6 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning and the Huskies were unable to regain their footing. Senior Isabelle Wiemer 1 for 1 with a double, 3 walks, and 2 RBI’s in the loss for the Huskies. Sophomore Elyssa Jamandron was 1 for 3 with a hit and a walk in addition to an RBI and 2 runs. Senior Madeline DeChristopher finished 2 for 3 with a double, an RBI, and a walk.
