No. 12 Manasquan 36, Shore 21
It was the Ace Etienne show as the Warriors (3-1, 1-1) bounced back from last week’s loss to take down the Blue Devils (2-1, 1-1)
Manasquan’s star senior tailback got it done on both sides of the ball in the victory. In all, he totaled 268 yards and five touchdowns on 30 carries to help lift the offense.

Five minutes later, senior quarterback Matt Antonucci found fellow senior Frankie Tackett for 41 yards to put Manasquan near the goal line. Etienne added his second score on the very next play to take a two-score lead.
With seven minutes to play in the second quarter, Etienne reached the end zone a third time with a 14-yard run to give the Warriors a 21-0 lead. Shore then put together an extended scoring drive and got on the board with a one-yard sneak from junior quarterback Logan Clark. The score stood at 21-7 into halftime.
The Blue Devils cut the lead in half to start the third quarter, thanks to a seven-yard passing touchdown from Clark to senior wide receiver Jack Madalone on the second half’s opening drive. Shore remained within a touchdown for the rest of the third quarter, but Etienne notched his fourth score of the game to open up the final quarter. After a penalty on the extra point, Manasquan opted to go for two, and Antonucci converted with his legs to take a 29-14 lead.
Up by two scores, Etienne and the Warriors’ defense made a big play with an interception on fourth down. Shore would not go down quietly, however, as it got the ball back and Clark lofted a 56-yard touchdown pass to senior wideout Enzo Cagliastro to draw back to within a touchdown. The Blue Devils’ defense stepped up to the task again and forced a punt, but on the ensuing drive Manasquan junior linebacker Luke Barry intercepted a pass.
Etienne helped ice the game on a 59-yard rushing score with three-and-a-half minutes to play, and Barry’s second interception of the fourth quarter a minute later ended Shore’s comeback attempt.
