Class A North

No. 5 CBA 3, No. 2 Manasquan 0

Junior Ryan Asadi scored off a Taylor Ryan corner kick in the middle of the first half and the Colts (6-3, 2-1) added two goals in the final 17 minutes to seal a key Class A North win over the Warriors (5-2, 1-1).

In the 63rd minute, senior Brayden Perry took a pass from junior Nick Silva and banged a shot off the post and in for a 2-0 CBA lead. The Colts put the game well out of reach in the 76th, when junior Devon Cale tracked down a long ball from senior goalkeeper Sean Najdzinowicz and put it away.

No. 3 Howell 1, No. 10 Marlboro 0

Senior Nick Turturro scored the game-winning goal in the 70th minute off an assist from Kam Brown and the Rebels (6-1, 3-1) held on to beat the Mustangs (5-3, 1-2).

Rumson-Fair Haven 3, Holmdel 2 (OT)

Junior Sal Taddeo headed in a corner kick from classmate Adison Bellincampi in the 12th minute of overtime and the Bulldogs (4-4, 3-1) prevailed in a back-and-forth battle with the Hornets (4-3-1, 1-2-0).

Holmdel tied the game in the 75th minute, when senior Kieran Hynes poked in a shot from inside the box off a long throw-in by sophomore Antonio Zambito. Rumson had take a 2-1 lead on a goal by senior Charlie Butters in the 65th off the second of Bellincampi’s three assists in the game.

Senior Luke D’Angelo broke loose for a breakaway goal in the 15th minute off a long through-ball from Bellincampi to give Rumson a 1-0 lead before Holmdel tied the game in the 31st on a finish by junior Dom Poli off a pass from senior Stepan Kapranov.

 

Class A Central

Middletown South 1, Wall 0

Tyler Levander scored the lone goal of the game and it was enough for the Eagles (5-3-1, 2-2-0) to slip past the Crimson Knights (5-4-1, 1-2-1).

No. 8 Manalapan 3, No. 1 Colts Neck 3

Junior Ethan Lustig capped a huge comeback with a game-tying penalty kick in the 70th minute and the Braves (7-1-1, 4-0-1) rallied from a three-goal deficit to earn a draw with the undefeated Cougars (7-0-1, 4-0-1).

Senior John Luz drew the foul in the box that gave Manalapan a chance to tie the game with a penalty kick and Lustig buried the attempt to the right side of the goal.

Sophomore goalkeeper Chase Lee kept the game tied in the second overtime with a penalty-kick save to prevent Colts Neck from winning the game with a golden goal.

Senior Christian Laverde scored just before halftime to cut Colts Neck’s lead to 3-1 and junior Ethan Rosenfeld headed in a corner kick by Lustig to trim the Cougars lead to 3-2.

Sean Moore and Kyle Moore accounted for all of Colts Neck’s scoring, with Sean Moore opening the scoring off a pass from Kyle, then assisting a goal by Kyle that built the Cougars lead to 2-0. Sean Moore made it 3-0 off another assist from Kyle.

Freehold Twp. 4, St. Rose 1

Senior Sean Sparks scored a pair of goals and assisted another as the Patriots (2-5-1, 1-2-1) rolled to a win over the Purple Roses (1-9, 0-5). Seniors Vin Brando and Peter DeSantis also scored a goal apiece for Freehold Township, with Brandon also assisting one of the goals by Sparks.

 

Class A South

Central 6, Jackson Memorial 2

Senior Jordan Benzon scored two goals and classmate Blake Crutchley dished out three assists as the Golden Eagles (4-3, 3-1) pulled away to beat the Jaguars (4-5-2, 0-2-2) on the road.

Benzon opened the scoring off the first of Crutchley’s assists and senior Dillon Konfederak made it 2-0 off the first of two assists by junior Ilyas Ciltepe. Junior Landon Kavanagh made it 3-1 with his first-half goal and Benzon, junior Joey Centanni and sophomore Julian Lenovich each added a goal in the second half after Central led 3-2 at halftime.

No. 7 Toms River East 5, Point Boro 0

Senior Rowen Joice scored a goal and assisted another — all in the first half — and the Raiders (5-2, 2-2) rolled to a shutout win over the Panthers (2-4-1, 0-3-1).

Joice scored in the first minute off an assist from sophomore Samuel Los, who also assisted a goal by junior Aidan Corapi that capped the scoring in the 49th minute. Senior Tommy Renkin made it 2-0 with a goal in the 11th minute off a feed from senior Ethan Kelly and Joice set up a goal by sophomore Evan Capetta in the 17th. Capetta then returned the favor by setting up Joice for a goal in the 20th minute.

No. 6 Toms River North at No. 9 Southern — PPD, Monday, 6:30 p.m.

 

Class B North

Shore 6, Freehold Boro 2

Junior Cooper Attaway and senior Jadyn DeRosa scored two goals each and the Blue Devils (6-3, 3-1) coasted to a win over the Colonials (2-6-1, 0-4-1).

Sophomore Joe Ilvento also scored a goal to go with two assists and sophomore Silvio Pessoa chipped in a goal and an assist for Shore.

Neptune 2, Matawan 0

Senior Julian Lemus scored in the first half and junior Harin Gutierrez Moreno added an insurance goal in the second as the Scarlet Fliers (4-3-1, 1-1-1) pulled out a shutout win over the Huskies (0-8, 0-4).

St. John Vianney 2, No. 4 Ocean 0

Junior Mason Boles scored two more goals and the Lancers (5-1, 3-0) took control of the top spot in the Class B North standings by knocking off the Spartans (6-2, 2-1). Senior Kyle DiMarco assisted the goal in the first half and senior Jack Scheuing set up the second goal by Boles, who upped his season total to seven goals, including three two-goal games.

 

Class B Central

Monmouth 4, Keyport 0

Senior Rob Sherman and junior Devin Ryan each posted a goal and an assist and the Falcons (5-2-1, 3-0-1) upended the Red Raiders (1-5, 1-2) on Senior Night.

Senior Lua Mendonco-Braga opened the scoring off an assist from Ryan and Ryan made it 2-0 on the first of two assists by senior Evan Kelly. Sherman then assisted a goal by Ricky Caceres, then scored off a feed from Kelly.

Ranney 4, Asbury Park 0

Senior Dev Nayar scored two goals in the first half and classmate Saaed Torres tacked on two in the second to lead the Panthers (6-2-1, 4-0-1) over the Blue Bishops (2-8, 0-4). Junior Eddie Magherini assisted both of Nayar’s goals before halftime.

Red Bank 5, Henry Hudson 2

Junior Alex Salvo scored two goals and assisted another by senior Gavin McTighe to lead the Bucs (5-4, 3-0) to a win over the Admirals (0-5-1, 0-3-1).

Coming off a hat trick that included a golden goal in a 3-2 win over Brick, senior Trey Cummings racked up three assists Wednesday, while seniors Alex Flores and Victor Perez each scored a goal as well for Red Bank.

Jack Carlstrom and Jack Swetland scored the two Heny Hudson goals.

 

Class B South

Lacey 2, Lakewood 1

Junior Tanner Grozinski scored the equalizer in the 60th minute, then assisted the game-winner by senior Dan Cardenas 40 seconds later to give the Lions (5-4, 2-2) a come-from-behind win over the Piners (4-3, 2-2).

William Alejo gave Lakewood a 1-0 lead with a 25-yard blast in the 15th minute.

Manchester 1, New Egypt 0

Senior Anderson Ordoñez-Mejia scored the deciding goal off a pass from Cody McLeod in the 47th minute and the Hawks (4-5, 3-1) held off the Warriors (1-8, 0-4) to nail down the shutout victory.

Toms River South 3, Jackson Liberty 0

Senior Anthony Johnson broke out for a hat trick in the second half and the Indians (6-1-1, 4-0-0) rode the late-game surge to a win over the Lions (2-6-1, 1-4-0).

Senior David Mandica found Johnson for the game’s first goal and Johnson made it 2-0 with a penalty kick less than a minute later. Senior Robert Boemio then assisted the third Johnson goal.

 

Class C South

Brick 4, Donovan Catholic 1

Junior Giano Godenzi posted his first varsity hat trick and the Green Dragons (2-5, 2-2) downed the Griffins (0-6, 0-4).

Junior Ryan Paramonte scored the other goal and classmate Carl Laffredo assisted two goals for Brick.

Point Beach 3, Barnegat 2

Senior Bennett Mayer scored the golden goal off a pass from sophomore Brody Powers and the Garnet Gulls (7-0, 4-0) beat the Bengals (5-3, 2-2) to become the last Shore Conference team standing with a perfect record.

Powers also scored a goal, as did freshman Evan Hajeski.

Brick Memorial 3, Pinelands 0

Sophomore Nate Stryker, junior Paul DiRosa and junior Landon Amalfa each scored a goal and Alex Santos assisted two as the Mustangs (7-1-1, 3-1-0) blanked the Wildcats (2-7, 1-3).
