Junior Connor Andree scored 20 points to go with nine rebounds and three assists while senior teammate Justin Fuerbacher put up 16, nine and four as the Colts coasted to an opening-day win over the Colonials.
Junior Charlie Marcoullier added 10 points, four rebounds and three assists and senior Kevin Pikiell contributed six points and eight rebounds for CBA.
Senior Brian Tassey led Freehold Boro with 12 points, six rebounds and three blocks and senior Qua’Mir Everett pitched in 10 points in the loss.

Paramus Catholic 52, No. 1 St. Rose 42
Sam Owusu scored 17 points, including 4-for-4 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter, to lead the Paladins to a win over the Purple Roses in a matchup that featured a Paterson Catholic team that went 2-22 last season vs. a St. Rose team that finished No. 1 in New Jersey at 29-2.
Senior Evan Romano scored 15 of his 18 points in the second half to lead all scorers and sophomore Avery Lynch added 13 for St. Rose, which played without junior Jayden Hodge. After sustaining a knee injury on Tuesday in a scrimmage at Rumson, Hodge dressed in uniform and participated in warm-ups. Coach Bryan Lynch said Hodge is considered day-to-day.

At Montgomery High School
No. 3 Manasquan 64, Rutgers Prep 61 (OT)
Senior Matteo Chiarella banked in a shot from beyond the halfcourt line as time expired in overtime and the Warriors won a wild season-opener over the Argonauts.
Sophomore Rey Weinseimer scored a game-high 26 points to lead Manasquan, including a three-pointer that tied the game, 61-61, with 23 seconds left in overtime. Manasquan won despite senior Griffin Linstra fouling out early in overtime and also despite falling into a 13-point deficit during the second quarter.

No. 7 Red Bank 43, Marlboro 40
Senior Ryan Fisher scored eight of his 12 points in the second half to lead a balanced scoring effort as the Bucs (2-0) shook off a cold-shooting first half to down the Mustangs (0-1).
Marlboro led by as many as 13 points in the first half behind runs of 9-0 and 10-0. The Mustangs held Red Bank to 5-for-24 shooting in the first half and led, 19-10, at intermission.

Red Bank’s offense came alive in the third quarter, with the Bucs rattling off a 9-0 run to pull within 32-30 late in the third quarter. Sophomore Dylan McEwan knocked down a three-pointer in the final minute of the third to push the Marlboro lead to 35-30, but Red Bank scored the first nine points of the fourth quarter to stretch its run to 18-3 and take a 39-35 lead.
Marlboro sophomore Nolan Gong rattled home a three-pointer to cut Marlboro’s deficit to 41-40 and the Mustangs held possession with seven seconds left and a sideline out-of-bounds play. Red Bank senior Anthony Moore blocked the potential game-winning three-point attempt, but Red Bank was whistled for a travelling violation on the rebound, giving Marlboro the ball underneat the basket with 1.5 seconds left.

Six-foot-6 junior Drew Luback slipped to the right corner for an open three as time expired, but it rimmed out to complete Red Bank’s win.
Senior Zayier Dean scored seven of his 11 points in the second half to go with five rebounds, four assists and three steals. He also hit an elbow jumper to give Red Bank a 36-35 lead with just over five minutes left — the Bucs first lead since 2-0 and a lead they would not give back.

Before the crucial block, Moore piled up 10 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and one additional blocked shot. Moore and junior Bennett Lopez controlled the glass for Red Bank, with Lopez posting five points, 11 rebounds and two assists off the bench.
Gong led Marlboro with 12 points and three assists and senior Daniel Crasto chipped in eight points, nine rebounds and three assists in the loss.

No. 10 Jackson Memorial 43, Patrick School 42
Junior Randy Holmes Jr. knocked down the game-winning three-pointer with three seconds left and the Jaguars pulled out a win over the Celtics’ local team in their season-opener.
Holmes Jr. finished with six points, while freshman Mi’Aire Anderson led Jackson Memorial with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Jimmy Papalardo added 10 points points for Jackson Memorial.
Tuesday, Dec. 10
Non-Division
No. 7 Red Bank 68, Henry Hudson 43
Senior Ryan Fisher poured in a game-high 27 points and the Bucs blew open what was a five-point game at halftime to beat the Admirals on opening night for both Shore Conference squads.
Senior Anthony Moore pitched in 15 points and classmate Zayier Dean added eight for Red Bank, which entered the third quarter protecting a 26-21 lead before outscoring Henry Hudson, 42-22, in the second half.
Junior Blakely Smith led a balanced scoring effort with 11 points and classmate Michael Fitzpatrick added 10 for Henry Hudson.

St. John Vianney 63, New Dorp (N.Y.) 49
Senior Jesse Plunkett pumped in 19 points to go with seven rebounds and the Lancers picked up a win over New Dorp on Staten Island to open up their season with an out-of-state win.
Sophomore Trenton Catholic transfer Danny O’Neill went for 17 points and 12 rebounds in his first game as a Lancer, while senior Alex Jurado chipped in 11 points for St. John Vianney.
