Sophomore David Buley scored nine points and senior Justin Fuerbacher added seven to lead CBA in a loss to the Marauders (23-4) in which St. Peter’s Prep shut down the Colts (21-5) back court to advance to the sectional final Monday vs. No. 4 Camden Catholic.
Mason Santiago was the only scorer in the game to reach double-figures, finishing with 19 points to lead St. Peter’s Prep, which raced out to a 27-11 halftime lead.
(4) Camden Catholic 72, (1) Paul VI 63 (2 OT)
The Irish (23-6) erased a 15-point fourth-quarter deficit by closing regulation on a 14-0 run to force overtime, then stunned the defending sectional champion Eagles (26-4) with 20 points in the second overtime period, closing out an improbable win and earning a spot in the South Non-Public A final Monday vs. St. Peter’s Prep at Lenape High School.

Sophomore Avery Lynch led a balanced offensive attack with 17 points and juniro Jayden Hodge posted 16 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals as the Purple Roses (22-7) shook off a slow start to rout the Wildcats (23-6) and reach the sectional championship for the third straight year. St. Rose will take on No. 3 Rutgers Prep for the title Monday at Jackson Liberty High School, with a 7 p.m. scheduled tip-off.
Senior Evan Romano added 10 points, six rebounds and three assists for St. Rose, which fell in a 6-0 hole and were down, 9-6, before closing the quarter on a 10-0 run to take control of the game. Freshman Izayah Cooper added nine points and junior Mike Sullivan scored nine points in the fourth quarter for the Purple Roses.
