Semifinal

(3) Red Bank Catholic 54, (2) St. Rose 53

Red Bank Catholic defeated St. Rose in another instant classic on a miraculous three-point play by junior Addy Nyemchek in the waning moments.

Junior Jada Lynch converted on two free throws to give St. Rose a 53-51 lead with six seconds remaining in the game. Red Bank Catholic inbounded the ball to Nyemchek, who went nearly the length of the floor before shooting a heavily contested, off-balance, one-handed runner from about 15 feet that banked cleanly off the glass as the whistle blew for a foul. Nyemchek then calmly sunk the free throw before a deflected pass by the Caseys closed out the victory.

Nyemchek finished with a team-high 20 points, 8 rebounds and five assists while senior Christina Liggio added 15 points and eight rebounds in the win for the Caseys. Lynch finished with a game-high 30 points and senior Cassidy Kruesi added 11 points in the loss for the Roses.
