2025-2026 Shore Sports Insider Girls Basketball Week 6 Top 10
1. St. John Vianney (17-2) Last Week: 1 – The Lancers remain No. 1 this week after posting a 3-0 week. SJV defeated division foe Rumson-Fair Haven 67-34 led by senior guard Madison Kocis’ 13 points. The Lancers won another division game by defeating Manasquan 59-28. SJV was led in that game by senior center Taylor Sofilkanich who poured in 17 points. The Lancers ended their week by going out of conference and defeating perennial state powerhouse Morris Catholic 53-40. Senior guard Charlotte Bradley led SJV with 13 in the win. The Lancers have two division games this upcoming week, taking on St Rose and Red Bank, both at home. They will also face Thrive Charter on Saturday. Barring a major upset loss to a Shore Conference team, it’s a safe bet that St. John Vianney will hold the top spot heading into the Shore Conference Tournament.

2. Red Bank Catholic (18-2) Last Week: 2 – RBC remains No. 2 this week after going 4-0. The Caseys started out the week by defeating two division rivals, St. Rose 61-29, and Rumson-Fair Haven 57-26. Senior forward Addy Nyemchek led RBC with 19 points in the win over St. Rose, while senior guard Katie Liggio scored 20 against the Bulldogs. RBC went out of conference to beat Moorestown 76-35, led by Nyemchek’s 25, and finished the week by beating Paul VI, ranked No. 3 in the state according to NJ Advance Media, 64-56 in the Coaches Choice Shore Challenge. The Caseys face two division opponents to start the week in crosstown rival Red Bank and Manasquan. RBC will take on Pennsylvania powerhouse Cardinal O’Hara on Saturday.

3. Manasquan (16-3) Last Week: 3 – The Warriors hold down their No. 3 spot this week after going 2-1. The Warriors started their week with a 48-34 win over Red Bank, led by senior guard Jordyn Hollowell’s 15 points. Manasquan lost a tough one to top-ranked SJV 54-28, a game in which senior guard Shannon Looney led the Warriors with 8. The Warriors ended their week with a hotly-contested 44-43 win over St Joseph’s by the Sea (NY) in the Coaches Choice Shore Challenge in Holmdel. Hollowell was the game MVP, scoring 13 points. Manasquan has three games this week, facing division opponents Rumson-Fair Haven and RBC before taking on rival Wall.

4. Rumson-Fair Haven (14-6) Last Week: 4 – Rumson-Fair Haven, despite going 0-3 for the week, held on to the No. 4 spot this week. Both of the Bulldog’s Shore Conference losses were to nationally ranked SJV and RBC. Rumson-Fair Haven lost to No. 1 SJV 67-34 with Grace Smith scoring a team-high 12 points. The Bulldogs then lost to No. 2 RBC 57-26, a game in which the Bulldogs were led by Erin Reid’s 11 points. Rumson-Fair Haven then fought hard before dropping a 49-37 decision to Saint Thomas Aquinas, ranked 12th in the state according to NJ Advance Media, in the Coaches Choice Shore Challenge. The Bulldogs have two division games upcoming this week, at Manasquan and at St. Rose, two games that will have critical implications when it comes time for Shore Conference Tournament seeding.

5. Neptune (12-1) Last Week: 5 – The Scarlet Fliers opened the week with two division wins to improve to 8-0 in Class A Central. Neptune defeated both Freehold schools by scores of 54-33 and 44-28. Junior guard Lana Ellington continues to play great basketball, scoring a combined 34 points in the two wins. The Scarlet Fliers won both games despite losing sophomore forward Tyeera Howard to injury the week prior. Neptune has three games this week, all at home: Ocean, Middletown North, and Trinity Hall.
6. Trinity Hall (15-4) Last Week: 6 – The Monarchs won two of their three games this past week, defeating Ranney 68-38, and Wall 65-42, before dropping a heartbreaker to Rutgers Prep, ranked fourth in the state according to NJ Advance Media. Senior Grace Feeney led the Monarchs in scoring, dropping 32 points in the two wins and 21 in their loss. Freshman Ella Krayl continues to play well, scoring 15 in the win over Ranney, and 16 in the win over Wall. Trinity Hall has three games this week, two of which should decide the Class B North title. The Monarchs take on No. 8 Howell and No. 7 Colts Neck before taking on Neptune in a non-division game. The three games have a chance to shake up the rankings.

7. Colts Neck (14-4) Last Week: 7 – The Cougars went 2-0 on the week, including a big 46-41 win over No. 8 Howell. Sophomore forward Julianna Jasina led Colts Neck with 15 points in the win. The Cougars ended their week with a 31-23 win over Holmdel. Sophomore Allison McAndrew led the Cougars with 10 points. Colts Neck has three games this upcoming week, all at home: Wall, Trinity Hall (a game that could decide Class B North), and Atlantic Tech.
8. Howell (14-4) Last Week: 8 – Howell went 2-1 on the week, and remains at No. 8 this week. The Rebels started their week with a tough Class B North loss to Colts Neck, 46-41. Junior Kylee Beam led the Rebels with 18 points in the loss. Howell ended their week with a pair of wins, a 73-51 win over Ranney, led again by Beams 29-point explosion, and a 50-40 win over Toms River South, a game in which Beam scored 17, including the 1,000th point of her career. The Rebels have two games this week, Trinity Hall and Holmdel, both on the road.
9. Keansburg (14-0) Last Week: 10 – Keansburg continues the undefeated start to their season, going 3-0 on the week. The Titans recorded lopsided wins over Keyport 52-11, Raritan 67-40, and Henry Hudson 46-24. Senior Gabriella Flanzbaum remains hot, scoring a combined 75 points in the three wins, including her 1,000th career point. Keansburg has two division games this week, including a big one at home vs Matawan that will decide the Class C North championship. The Titans end their week with a game against Asbury Park.

10. Brick (9-7) Last Week: Unranked – Brick is starting to show the form that had them ranked in the Top 10 early in the season. The Dragons defeated two division opponents this week, starting with a win over Southern 44-32. Junior AnnaClaire Stoudt led the Dragons with 15 points in the win. Brick ended their week with a 58-37 win over Jackson. Sophomore Ariana Wissen led Brick with 26 points. Brick has three games coming up this week: Toms River North, at Lacey, and at Point Boro.
