Read through each wrestler’s accomplishments and cast your votes. This week’s poll will close on Wednesday at 11 p.m.

Joey DeAngelo, Sr., 126, Point Boro

DeAngelo made his season debut on Feb. 6 and won by fall to secure his 100th career win. He is the 15th wrestler in program history with 100 wins.

 

Shane DePinto, Fr., 120, Manasquan

-Went 3-0 during the week and defeated Franlin’s returning district medalist Victor Perez-Alvarado by 17-0 technical fall.

 

William Huchko, Jr., 120, Jackson Liberty

-Scored a key major decision over Wall’s Charles Mahoney to help the Lions to a division win over the Crimson Knights. Added a 15-second pin in a win over Brick.

 

Gage Grant, Jr., 132, Manalapan

-Grant, a district fourth-place finisher last season, won by 8-0 major decision over Toms River South’s returning district runner-up Owen Beneciuk to headline a 2-0 week.

 

Tyler Oden, Jr., 144, Middletown North

-Oden, a returning district third-place finisher, won by 9-4 decision over South Brunswick’s three-time region qualifier Garv Sen during the Lions’ nonconference win over the Vikings.

 

Shawn Retta, Jr., 175, Keansburg

-Went 4-0 with two pins, a decision, and a walk-off technical fall when Keansburg rallied for a 38-36 win over Central Regional.

 

Alex Reyes, Jr., 190, Holmdel

-Went 4-0 and earned his 100th career victory to help the Hornets win matches over Raritan, Marlboro, Keansburg, and Central Regional. He is the seventh wrestler in program history with 100 wins and enters Monday tied with Jimmy Ilvento for fifth all-time with 104 victories.

 

Dan Smith, Sr., 165, Middletown South

-Went 3-0 win three pins, including a win by fall in the penultimate bout when Middletown South outlasted Manasquan, 33-27, to win the Class E Division championship.

 

Josiah Sweeney, Sr., 106, Freehold

-Went 3-0 during the week with two pins and a walk-off major decision in the final bout when Freehold defeated Pinelands, 37-31.
