Week 4 Player of the Week Fan Voting
Class A North
Gaby Parker, Freehold Township
Parker continues to show she is one of the best goal scorers in the Shore Conference. Last week she scored all five goals for the Patriots. All five goals had meaning with Freehold Township winning both games by one goal. In a 3-2 victory over Trinity Hall, Parker scored the game-winner in double overtime.
Class A Central
Alex Foley, Ocean Township
Foley has been the anchor of the Spartan’s defense all season. Ocean started off the season losing their first six games, but Foley helped keep them in those games. Last week she helped Ocean go 1-0-1 and end their losing streak. Her leadership helped the Spartans post their first shutout against Colts Neck and tie St. John Vianney, who was ranked in the Top 10 at the time.
Class A South
Shelby Parks, Central Regional
Parks has taken her game to another level the last few games, helping Central during their six-game win streak. Parks finished last week with two goals and two assists. She had one goal and two assists against division rival Jackson Memorial. She ended the week with the game-winner with 1:05 left on the clock against No. 3 Lacey, who was undefeated entering the game.
Class B North
Natalie Morford, Middletown North
Morford has stepped up since becoming the starter for Middletown North in goal. She has helped them win four straight games and posted her first shutout last week in a win over division opponent Freehold Boro 4-0. She made six saves in that game. Morford followed that with a strong performance against Jackson Liberty to help the Lions win their first SCT Group game 3-1.
Class B Central
Gwyneth Wollschleager, Ranney
Wollschleager finished the week with three goals and one assist in Ranney’s two victories last week. She scored what ended up being the game-winner in a 2-0 victory over Neptune. Wollschleager followed that with two goals and an assist against East Brunswick Magnet.
Class B South
Baileigh Johnson, Point Beach
Johnson reached 100 points in her career last week. She scored the lone goal in a 1-0 victory over Holmdel in a SCT Group game. The win clinched a spot for the Garnett Gulls in the SCT knockout rounds. Johnson scored one goal and had three assists in a division win over New Egypt to open the week.
Class C South
Delaney Spalthoff, Jackson Liberty
One of the fastest players in the Shore Conference, Spalthoff has reached double-digits in goals for the third straight season. Last week she finished with seven goals with a hat trick in Jackson Liberty’s two victories against Pinelands and Long Branch. She also scored the team’s lone goal against Middletown North.
Wildcard
Lauren Kuhn, Toms River North
Kuhn was unstoppable against rival Brick Memorial, scoring four goals including the game-winner in overtime for Toms River North. She helped the Mariners come back from a 4-1 deficit at halftime to win 5-4. She followed that with two assists against Lakewood in an SCT Group game.
Erynn Richey, Wall
Richey not only helps anchor the backline for Wall, but she is one of the most dangerous players in the Shore Conference on set pieces. She showed her ability against Marlboro, scoring what ended up being the game-winner on a corner kick. The win helped Wall improve to 4-0 in Class A Central.
Jordyn Hollawell, Manasquan
Hollawell is an important piece to the Warrior attack, leading the team in scoring. Last week Hollawell assisted both goals in a 2-0 victory against division rival Manalapan. The following game she scored a goal against Toms River North in a 2-1 victory. The win secured a spot in the knockout round of the Shore Conference Tournament.
