Each week, Shore Sports Insider will give the fans of the Shore Conference a chance to pick the Player of the Week sponsored by Broad Street Dough Co.
Below, we have selected a player of the week from each of the seven Shore Conference divisions, plus three wild cards — all of whom are candidates in this week’s contest. Read about the nominees and vote at the bottom of the post for the one that deserves to be the overall Boys Soccer Player of the Week. Vote once per hour until the poll closes Thursday at 10 p.m. Winner will receive a $25 gift card courtesy of Broad Street Dough Co
Class A North Player of the Week
Phil Bodenski, CBA
In a rematch of the last two Shore Conference Tournament championship games, Bodenski recorded his first career multi-goal game, which ended with him posting a hat trick in a 3-1 win at Howell.

Class A Central Player of the Week
Dan Altman, Manalapan
Manalapan has been an offensive force behind a slew of scorers and last week was Altman’s chance to shine. He scored two goals in a 6-0 win over Wall, the put up a hat trick – all in a 13-minute span of a second half – during a 4-3, overtime win for the Braves at Southern.

Class A South Player of the Week
Aidan Donnelly, Southern
It was another huge week for Donnelly, who racked up five goals in four games last week, during which Southern went 2-2 against a strong collection of teams. He posted a hat trick in a 3-1 win over previously-unbeaten Shawnee, scored a goal in a 2-1 win over Point Boro and added another in the 4-3, overtime loss to Manalapan.

Class B North Player of the Week
Julian Lemus, Neptune
The Scarlet Fliers picked up their biggest win of the season, rallying from a 2-0 deficit vs. No. 6 St. John Vianney to beat the Lancers, 3-2. Lemus led the comeback by scoring two of the three goals in the second half, including the game-winner.

Class B Central Player of the Week
Andrew Torregrossa, Red Bank Catholic
Torregrossa scored in each of RBC’s two games last week, the first of which opened the scoring in a 3-1 win over Keyport. The senior forward then scored one of two goals in a 3-2 loss to Asbury Park.

Class B South Player of the Week
Noah Riley, Lacey
Riley got the scoring started with two quick goals and later added an assist to lead a 7-4 Lacey win over Pinelands.

Class C South Player of the Week
Brody Powers, Point Beach
The Point Beach sophomore had two games last week in which he scored two goals and assisted another. He first did so in a 4-2 win over Asbury Park and closed the week with two more goals and an assist vs. Keyport. In between, he scored the lone Garnet Gulls goal in a 2-1 loss to Brick Memorial.
Class C South Honorable Mention: Mason Muolo, Brick Memorial; Carl Loffredo, Brick; Alex Santos, Brick Memorial; Landon Hoberman, Point Beach; Sal Reynoso, Donovan Catholic; Max Durazzo, Donovan Catholic
Wild Cards
Charlie Butters, Rumson-Fair Haven
Butters scored two goals in three Rumson games last week, including the golden goal Saturday in a 1-0, overtime win for the Bulldogs over Old Bridge.
Mason Boles, St. John Vianney
Boles contributed two goals and an assist across three St. John Vianney games last week, and his final contribution proved to be the perfect cap to the week for the Lancers. The junior striker scored the game-winning goal in the 72nd minute of SJV’s 2-1 win over CBA – the first win for the Lancers over CBA since 2012.
Silvio Pessoa, Shore
The sophomore scored Shore’s game-winner in a 1-0 win over Haddon Heights and capped the week with two assists in the Blue Devils’ 3-1 win over South River.
