Wall’s Mikey Boulard is the NJSIAA Sectional/Group Tournament Ultimate Tree Service Wrestler of the Week
Every week this winter, Shore Sports Insider will honor standout high school wrestling performances in our Shore Conference Wrestler of the Week poll, presented by Ultimate Tree Service.
Our winner of the Week 10 poll, which included the NJSIAA Team Tournament sectional and group rounds, is Wall freshman 144-pounder Mikey Boulard, who delivered a match-changing pin when Wall upended Ocean to reach the Central Jersey Group 2 sectional final. Shore Sports Insider stopped by practice to present Boulard with his Week 10 Wrestler of the Week shirt.
Boulard went 3-0 with two falls and a major decision during the week, headlined by his pin of two-time region medalist Boomer Volek in Wall’s win over Ocean in the Central Jersey Group 2 quarterfinals.
Boulard followed up his great week during team states by winning the District 24 144-pound title with three technical falls. He is 29-6 on the season entering the Region 6 Tournament where he is the No. 6 seed.
