Middletown South turned in a solid week, earning victories over Old Bridge and Central in the SCT before falling to No. 4 Southern on Saturday.

The Eagles feature a deep and talented roster, though inconsistency has prevented the group from reaching its full potential and breaking back into the top 4. Hayley Jamison, Ashley Penn, Abby Gallagher, Anna Stumberger, and Alexis Marquis headline an offense that has the ability to overwhelm opponents. Jamison leads the way with 52 goals, while Penn has added 39. Marquis has contributed 28 goals, Stumberger has 27, and Gallagher has chipped in 20.

The Eagles have shown throughout the season that they are capable of competing with — and beating — anyone when playing at their best. If Middletown South can find consistency heading into the state tournament, it has the talent to make a deep and impactful playoff run.
