Junior Derek Roth scored nine of his game-high 18 points in the first quarter and also helped key the Golden Eagles (3-1) during a game-breaking third-quarter run that delivered Central a win over the Mustangs (3-3).
Roth scored seven points during the third, during which Central outscored Brick Memorial, 21-10, to turn a 21-21 game at halftime into an 11-point advantage. Roth also handed out five assists.
Junior Cijier Yates scored all 12 of his points in the second half, including a pair of three-pointers in the third quarter. Sophomore Jaxen Carter also scored 12 points and senior Elijah Reeder chipped in 10 points, six rebounds and three blocked shots in the win.
Senior Sean Collins matched Roth with 18 points thanks to four three-pointers in leading Brick Memorial.
At Toms River North Gym
(5) Red Bank Catholic 60, (8) Point Beach 55
Junior Ryder Ciorciari scored 16 points, including three three-pointers and a 5-for-6 performance from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter to help the Caseys (3-2) conquer the Garnet Gulls (4-2).
Junior Tyler Hager also contributed 16 points and senior James Hankowski scored 15 points for the second time in as many days, this time by hitting three threes of his own after hitting five in the loss to Wall on Friday. Junior Gavin Biasi also scored all eight of his points in the first half for RBC.
Juniors Tyler Preston and George Breckenridge each scored 15 points to lead Point Beach, with classmate Ryan Mahoney adding 11 in the loss.

Junior Jamel Pitts scored a game-high 19 points and nabbed six steals to lead the Green Dragons (1-4) to their first win of the season, which came in a down-to-the-wire consolation game vs. the Indians (3-3).
Senior Jacob Myers led Toms River South with 14 points and classmate Shane Gambarony added 12 in the loss.

Senior Jack Dambaugh scored 14 points and junior Nate Tyburczy scored eight of his 13 points during a 28-13 first half for the Lions (1-4) in a consolation win over the Hawks (1-4) that marked their first victory of the season.
Senior Matt Dickie added 10 points for Middletown North, which will play Brick in the fifth-place game of the Gepp Bracket on Monday. Senior James Ruocchio led Manchester with 13 points.

(3) East Brunswick 78, (6) Ranney 69
Cam Vick scored a game-high 30, including 18 in the second half to help the Bears (6-0) hold off the Panthers (1-2) and reach the semifinals of the Buc Classic Monday.
Matt Mikulka added 18 points for East Brunswick and Andrew Caruso added 12, including a three-pointer to halt a Ranney comeback and put East Brunswick ahead, 74-69, with 56 seconds left after Ranney had cut an 11-point deficit with four minutes left to two.
Senior Shaan Nayar led Ranney with 26 points and junior Andrew Schaeffer added 23 points and eight rebounds for the Panthers. Junior Andrew Mardahaev also threw in 11 points, including a pair of three-pointers during the 11-2 run to pulled Ranney to within two in the fourth quarter.
(4) Marlboro 54, (5) Middletown South 52
Junior Dylan McEwan drove for the tie-breaking score with 52 seconds left and the Mustangs (3-0) held down the Eagles (3-1) on the other end of the floor to secure a spot in the Buc Classic semifinals Monday.
McEwan led a balanced Marlboro offense with 17 points, while senior Ajay Mathews added 13 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals. Junior Nolan Gong also posted five rebounds, three assists and three steals to go with 12 points and senior center Drew Lubeck contributed 10 points and 13 rebounds in the win.
Freshman Ryan Gannon scored 12 points to go with six rebounds and four assists, while senior Matt Trimble chipped in 11 points and three assists in the loss. Freshman Evan Wells added 10 points and six rebounds for the Eagles and senior Beckett Oliver grabbed 11 rebounds to go with his six points for Middletown South.

Junior Justin Valentino scored 17 points and handed out eight assists to lead 10 different Red Bank scorers as the Bucs (3-3) cruised to a first-round win over the Green Wave (2-2), setting up a rematch Monday with Marlboro in the Buc semifinals a week after the Mustangs beat Red Bank in Marlboro.
Senior Josiah Johnson netted 10 points and both senior Bennett Lopez and junior Chris Doody added seven apiece for Red Bank.
Senior Josh Da Cruz scored 13 points to lead Long Branch while senior Quinton Fisher added 11 and junior Jacob Klegka pitched in nine in the loss.
(2) Howell 79, (7) Old Bridge 70
Senior Cayden Parker went off for a career-best 33 points — the fourth straight game to open the season in which he has set a new career high — and the Rebels (3-1) won a high-scoring shootout over the Knights (1-4).
Junior Jayson Parker added 23 points and classmate Noah Musto pitched in 16 for Howell, which led from the early part of the first quarter all the way through the final buzzer.
Howell will face No. 3 East Brunswick at 3:30 p.m. on Monday’s semifinal.

Senior Jake Sliwinski went off for 27 points, seven rebounds and six assists while junior Gavin Gerckens came up three blocks shy of a triple-double in a quarterfinal win for the Rams (3-1) over the Greyhounds (3-2).
Gerckens finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds and seven blocked shots for Southern, which took a 33-16 lead to the halftime locker room.

Nolan Barnes scored 22 points and the Indians (5-0) rode a dominant second half to a win over the Lancers (1-4) that sends them to the semifinals while they pursue their second straight SATS title.
Junior Dan Lavan scored 12 points for St. John Vianney, which was within 27-24 of Lenape at halftime. Junior Danny O’Neill added nine points and junior Danny Mejia chipped in eight for SJV.

Freshman Myles Joseph scored 17 points but Tavon Chandlor countered with 22 to lead the Bulldogs (4-0) to a win over the Bengals (4-2) that clinched the Bernie McCracken Bracket championship.
Junior Anthony Dringus added 11 points, while freshman Chancellor Joseph and senior Donovan Paul each chipped in eight for Barnegat.

Junior Avery Lynch scored 25 points and poured in 11 during the fourth quarter, but the Colts (4-1) came up short against Sagemont in their first loss of the season. Junior David Buley poured in 12 points and both sophomore Izayah Cooper and senior Connor Andree chipped in nine for CBA.

Senior Tyler Cameron scored a career-best 29 points and hauled in 11 rebounds to lead the Purple Roses (1-4) past Hackley and into the semifinal round of the Msgr. King Classic on Monday. The win was also the first for coach Chris Alesi in his first year as a high-school head coach in N.J.
Junior Gill St. Bernard’s transfer Marco Leonardis added 20 points and six rebounds for St. Rose and sophomore Ajay Catania knocked down four three-pointers for a 12-point outing in the win.
