Senior Jake DeBrito scored 10 of his game-high 12 points in the first half and senior Brian McKenna scored eight points, grabbed five rebounds, handed out eight assists and made a major contribution on defense to lead the Crimson Knights (5-0) past the Patriots (4-2) for their second straight championship at the Kevin Williams Christmas Classic.
McKenna spent most of the game matched up with junior Jake Schultzel on defense and held Freehold Township’s leading scorer to nine points, three of which came on a three-pointer in the final minute with the game all but decided.
Senior Liam Killea added eight points and three assists and junior Donovan Buist provided seven points and seven rebounds off the bench for the Crimson Knights.
Junior Cole Gerigk led Freehold Township with 11 points, six rebounds and three assists.
Third-Place Game
At Toms River North Gym
(2) Jackson 35, (1) Manasquan 32
Senior George Boley scored 12 points, including 10 in the second half to help the Jaguars (6-1) rally back from a 24-9 halftime deficit for a second win over the Warriors (2-4) in the last 12 days.
Manasquan outscored Jackson 20-0 in the second quarter behind four three-pointers, with sophomore John Visceglia hitting two of them. The Warriors scored only four points in each of the other three quarters.
Senior Jimmy Pappalaro scored nine points on three three-pointers, with two of them coming in the fourth quarter. Senior Jack O’Reilly led Manasquan with 11 points, including six of his team’s eight points in the second half.

Freshman Gerard Gallo scored 18 points and handed out five assists to seal his tournament MVP performance and the Griffins (4-1) held off a late charge by the Raiders (4-2) to win the Gepp Bracket championship — Donovan Catholic’s first ever championship in the Kevin Williams Christmas Classic.
Senior Pat Gallo added 12 points, four assists, three steals and a block, junior Gabe Feliciano pitched in eight points and three assists and sophomore T.J. Hunter posted seven points, nine rebounds, three steals and a block for Donovan Catholic.
Sophomore Tommy Intintola led Toms River East with 17 points and six rebounds, while classmate Brady Gillen added 15 points, five rebounds and three assists. Junior Chase Baillie hit three three-pointers and scored eight of his 11 points in the first half for the Raiders.
Donovan Catholic led, 52-40, with under four minutes to go but had to survive potential game-tying free throws in Intintola. Feliciano hit a pair of free throws with 12.2 seconds left to put the Griffins ahead, 56-51, before Gillen pulled up for a 28-foot three-pointer to pull the Raiders within 56-54 with 6.5 seconds left. Feliciano went back to the line and missed two free throws and on the rebound, Intintola was fouled, putting him at the free-throw line with 4.2 left.
After missing the first free throw, Intintola missed the second one on purpose, Gerard Gallo chased down the rebound and ran out the clock.

Sophomore Nate Sloane scored a game-high 20 points and the Cougars (3-2) coasted to a third-place win over the Mariners (3-4). Senior Dillon Younger added 16 points and classmate Matt Clark chipped in eight for Colts Neck.
Senior Jayden Thomas scored 11 points and senior Aidan Gavillan added nine to lead Toms River North.

(2) Howell 53, (4) Marlboro 49
Senior Jayden Parker scored 20 points and junior brother Jayson Parker added 15 as the Rebels (5-1) edged the Mustangs (4-1), avenging their lone loss of the season and capturing their first ever championship at the Buc Classic.
Junior Noah Musto added seven points while grabbing double-digit rebounds for Howell, which let a seven-point fourth-quarter lead slip away in a 54-50 loss to Marlboro on Dec. 18.
Junior Dylan McEwan scored 11 points, junior Nolan Gong and senior Drew Lubeck each added 10 points, and senior Ajay Mathews threw in nine for Marlboro.
Third-Place Game

Matt Mikulka scored 19 points to lead the Bears (7-1) to a third-place win over the host Bucs (3-5). Junior Justin Valentino led Red Bank with 12 points and senior Josiah Johnson added 11 in the loss.
Fifth-Place Game
(6) Ranney 68, (5) Middletown South 52
Junior Ben Schaeffer scored nine of his game-high 18 points in the fourth quarter and the Panthers (3-2) put up 40 points in the second half to close out the Eagles (4-2) for a fifth-place finish at the Buc Classic.
Senior Shaan Nayar and junior Andrew Mardahaev each scored 13 points and did most of their scoring damage in the third quarter, with Nayar scoring six and Mardahaev netting seven in a 24-point quarter. Junior Bryce Haney scored all nine of his points on three three-pointers in the third quarter.
Freshman Evan Wells scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half to lead Middletown South. Freshman Ryan Gannon added 14 points and senior Matt Trimble chipped in 12 in the loss.

Junior Jacob Klegka scored 12 points and the Green Wave (2-4) dropped the seventh-place game to the Knights (2-5).

Junior Noah Perna scored 36 points for the second time in two days, but for the second time in two days, it was not enough to lead the Rams (3-3) to victory as the Tornadoes (4-2) handed Southern another close loss.
Juan Sanchez went for 28 points and Aivaye Ingram poured in 24 to lead Trenton. Junior Anthony Buczynski hit three three-pointers for nine points and senior Jake Sliwinski added seven points and five assists in the loss.

Junior Nicky Mejia buried the game-winning three-pointer with one second remaining and the Lancers (2-5) finished up their three-game stay in Stafford Township with and uplifting win over the Greyhounds (3-4) in the Score at the Shore seventh-place game.

Tyler Pusczko scored 29 points and the Braves (3-2) could not keep up with the Redbirds (4-2) in the Holiday Jubilee championship game. Junior Cooper Levy netted 13 points and senior Dean Aviles threw in 11 to lead Manalapan.

Senior C.J. Evans scored eight points to lead Neptune (1-4), which fell to the Soaring Eagles (4-1) in the Jubilee third-place game.

Senior Jack Vallillo poured in 27 points and junior Collin Bresnick backed him up with 21 to lead the Hornets (2-1) to a lopsided win over the Chargers (2-2). Senior Connor Paul added 13 points and junior Elliot Bronowich threw in eight for Holmdel.
Freehold Boro 77, East Brunswick Magnet 59
Senior Mike Cush scored 24 points and classmate Damier Lester added 17 points, seven rebounds and six steals to lead the Colonials (4-1) to a win over the Tigers (2-4). Junior J.J. Ranaudo also pitched in 15 points and 13 rebounds for Freehold Boro.

Sophomore Taurian Black led Keansburg with nine points.

Senior Ian Mullan capped his two-day, all-tournament performance with 11 points and junior Eric Berg scored a team-high 14, but the Rockets (2-3) lost a third-place game against the host Bulldogs (2-2) that went down to the wire. Senior Connor Lee and sophomore Mario Diamantis each reached double-figures as well with 10 points apiece.
