Sophomore Alec Roberman scored off a pass fro Trevor Barrett to open the scoring in the first half, but the Bears tied the game in the second half and pulled out the win on penalties to advance to the sectional quarterfinals on Friday.
(2) Manalapan 6, (15) Trenton 1
Junior Ethan Lustig poured in a hat trick and added a pair of assists to lead the Braves to a one-sided win over the Tornadoes.
Lustig opened the scoring by scoring off a through-ball from classmate Eduardo Russo in the fourth minute, then returned the favor by playing Russo through for a goal in the sixth minute. Lustig scored again to make it 4-0 in the 39th off a pass from classmate Dan Altman and capped his hat trick off a pass from Joe DeLanzo in the 43rd. Lustig also assisted Manalapan’s final goal — a finish by Jordan Rosen in the 64th.
Senior Christian Laverde also scored a goal for Manalapan, which put the Braves ahead, 3-0, in the 19th minute.

(4) Middletown South 1, (13) Jackson Memorial 1 – Midd. South advances on penalties, 4-3
Junior goalkeeper Carson Perry saved the first two Jackson Memorial attempts of the penalty round and junior Jorge Xmil Carazzno buried the deciding kick to help the Eagles shake off the Jaguars and advance to the sectional quarterfinals on Friday.

Middletown South jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second minute on a goal by junior Gian Luca Zito, who finished a breakaway after sophomore Connor Saul played him free with a pass over the back line of Jackson Memorial’s defense.
Jackson Memorial equalized on a 23-yard direct kick by senior Robbie Calamia that took a slight deflection off a Middletown South defender before tucking into the right corner of the goal.
Zito and Saul each made their penalty kick attempts, as did senior Tyler Levander for Middletown South. Sean Cohn, senior Mike Pentogenis and freshman Anthony Materi all connected for Jackson Memorial after Perry saved the first two attempts.

Jackson Memorial forced penalty kicks despite playing the final 18-plus minutes of overtime with just 10 men after senior Alex Felicelli was issued his second yellow card of the match. Freshman goalkeeper Brandon Idyk kept Jackson Memorial in the match by saving a one-on-one chance for Carazzno early in the second overtime period before also saving Middletown South’s second attempt of the shootout.
(1) Colts Neck 9, (16) Freehold Boro 0
Senior Kyle Moore scored a goal and an assist to become Colts Neck’s all-time lead in goals and total scoring as the Cougars routed the Colonials to reach the sectional quarterfinals Friday vs. Long Branch. Moore now has 55 goals and 34 assists for a total of 144 career points after, breaking the old records of 54 and 141.
Sophomore Sean Moore led Colts Neck with two goals and one assist and senior Daniel Killick also contributed a goal and an assist. Sophomore Pedro Navroski also scored a goal, while seniors Dean Natale and Nick Sergio and juniors Trey Riehl and Belisario Diaz all scored their first career goals in the win.
(5) Westampton Tech 2, (12) Neptune 1 (OT)
Efe Tiryaki scored the golden goal in the final minute of the second overtime and the Panthers pulled out the victory over the Scarlet Fliers in dramatic fashion.
Neptune gained the game’s first lead in the 24th minute on a goal by senior Ivan Quiroz.
(3) Steinert 5, (14) Lakewood 2
(9) Long Branch 2, (8) Hopewell Valley 0
Senior Evan Santiago scored off a pass from classmate Alejandro Flores Lopez in the first half and Thomas Silva found fellow junior Brendan Mendoza for an insurance scored in the second to lead the Green Wave to a shutout road win over the Bulldogs.
The victory earns Long Branch a trip to play top-seeded and undefeated Colts Neck in Friday’s sectional quarterfinal, with the Green Wave carrying a seven-game winning streak into the match against the 18-0-2 Cougars.
(6) Red Bank 3, (11) Brick Memorial 1
Junior Alex Salvo exploded for a second-half hat trick and the Bucs rallied from a one-goal halftime deficit to beat the Mustangs and capture their first state tournament win since 2015.
Angel Cabrera scored in the 24th minute to stake Brick Memorial to a 1-0 that the Mustangs would carry into halftime. In the 48th minute, senior Trey Cummings burned a defender along the right end-line, fired a cross to the front of the goal and Salvo slammed in the equalizer from point-blank range.
Red Bank took the lead in the 61st after Salvo drew a trip in the box and converted the ensuing penalty kick to make it 2-1. Salvo completed the hat trick in the 71st off another assist from Cummings.

Red Bank will travel to play No. 3 Steinert in the sectional quarterfinals on Friday.
Central Jersey Group II
(6) Manasquan 3, (11) South River 0
Senior Cristian Gonzalez scored two of Manasquan’s three goals in the second half and the Warriors rolled past the Rams and into the sectional quarterfinals Friday at No. 3 Bordentown.
Gonzalez broke a scoreless deadlock with a penalty kick in the 51st minute after senior Tristen Davolos-Guillen beat two defenders and drew a trip inside the 18-yard box. Ten minutes later, senior Jorge Cruz Cruz knocked in a cross from junior Cruz Farkas for a 2-0 Manasquan lead.
Gonzalez capped the scoring with a left-foot strike from 20 yards out.
(8) Holmdel 4, (9) Spotswood 0
Senior Ziya Nazeer scored a goal and assisted another as the Hornets rode goals from four different players to a lopsided win over the Chargers.
Senior Stepan Kapranov, senior Lucas Hansen and sophomore Lucas Nobrega each scored a goal for Holmdel, which will travel to play top-seeded Cinnaminson Friday in the sectional quarterfinal round.
(7) Rumson-Fair Haven 4, (10) Wall 0
Four different Rumson players scored during a second-half blitz, including a pair of goals off long throw-ins by junior Luke Halpern, as the Bulldogs paid the Crimson Knights back for a regular-season 4-0 loss and advanced to Friday’s sectional quarterfinals at No. 2 Robbinsville.

Junior Sal Taddeo scored the first goal out of the scrum that followed Halpern’s long throw-in during the third minute of the second half. Senior Luke D’Angelo followed with a one-timed volley out of the air to make it 2-0 in the 46th. Seniors Austin Liss and Peyton Werner also scored as part of the second-half outburst, with Liss finishing his goal in the 56th minute and Werner striking in the 66th.

Senior Noor Eraky opened the scoring and classmate Jacob Gomez contributed a goal and an assist to spark the Spartans to a shutout win over the Panthers.
Junior Lucas Renvoize assisted Eraky’s opening goal and sophomore Connor Shaw later scored off Gomez’s set up. Senior Jack Nettis capped the scoring with his first career goal.

Central Jersey Group I
(1) Shore 6, (16) South Amboy 0
Sophomore Silvio Pessoa scored the first two goals of the game and the Blue Devils cruised to a win over the Governors to reach the sectional quarterfinals Friday vs. No. 9 David Brearley.
Junior Cooper Attaway assisted the first goal by Pessoa and later scored to extend Shore’s lead to 4-0. Senior Jadyn DeRosa scored to make it 3-0 off the second of two assists by senior Stephen Molnar. Senior Joao Domingos Vieira assisted the goal by Attaway and later extended the lead to 5-0 with a goal of his own, which came off the first career assist by sophomore Sean O’Rourke.
Junior Kaua Souza capped the scoring with his first career goal.
(6) Manville 4, (11) Point Beach 2
Freshman Evan Hajeski scored in the 25th minute to break open the scoring, but the Mustangs responded with four unanswered goals to nail down a first-round win over the Garnet Gulls.
Sophomore Brody Powers scored the second Point Beach goal, which cut Manville’s lead to 4-2 in the 71st minute.
South Jersey Group IV
(4) Southern 5, (13) Pennsauken 1
Senior Nick Prosperi scored two of his three goals in the first half and his hat trick powered the Rams to a round-one win over the Indians, earning them a sectional quarterfinal home game vs. No. 12 Gloucester Tech on Friday.
Junior Brody Nacarlo opened the scoring, junior Caden Schweigart scored the other Southern goal and senior Aidan Donnelly dished out two assists in the win.
(7) Toms River North 3, (10) Egg Harbor 1
After his team fell behind early, senior Christian Caso scored the first of three unanswered goals that carried the Mariners to a first-round win over the Eagles.
Senior Frank Toledo scored the game-winner off a pass from classmate James Homyak and senior Christian Assante capped the scoring with a goal off an assist from senior Mike Venegas.
Toms River North will host No. 15 Cherry Hill East Friday in the sectional quarterfinals, with the Mariners looking to advance to a sectional semifinal round for the sixth straight season.
(8) Central 4, (9) Eastern 3
Senior Dillon Konferderak scored a goal and assisted the other three to lead the Golden Eagles to a narrow win over the Vikings following a fast start.
Konferak set up a goal by junior Danny Palheta to open the scoring, then scored off a pass from senior Blake Crutchley to put Central ahead, 2-0, heading into halftime. The Golden Eagles stretched their lead to 4-0 on Konfederak-assisted goals by junior Ilyas Ciltepe and senior Jordan Benzon before Eastern charged back to cut its deficit to one goal.
Central moves on to face the top-seed and defending sectional champion Washington Township in Friday’s sectional quarterfinal round.
(15) Cherry Hill East 4, (2) Howell 3 (OT)
The Rebels tied the game on a own goal with 1:30 remaining in regulation, but Mustafa Ahmad scored his second goal of the game in the first two minutes of overtime to deliver a stunning win for the Cougars over the Rebels.
Senior John Fiorillo scored Howell’s first goal off a corner kick and senior Nick Turturro scored in the 65th minute off a cross from junior Dylan Johansen.
South Jersey Group III
(6) Toms River South 2, (11) Clearview 0
Senior Robert Boemio scored midway through the second half and junior Shane Gambarony continued his scoring tear with a goal that iced the win in the 75th minute as the Indians topped the Pioneers to reach Friday’s sectional quarterfinal round at No. 3 Moorestown.
Boemio finished off a through-ball from senior David Mandica in the 20th minute, which stood as the game’s lone goal until Gambarony ran down a punt from senior goalkeeper Nolen Mohaney and finished his eighth goal in his team’s last three matches.
(7) Lacey 2, (10) Delsea 0
Senior Jack Considine and junior Tanner Grozinski each struck for a first-half goal and the Lions blanked the Crusaders to earn a sectional quarterfinal trip Friday to play No. 2 Toms River East.
Considine headed in a cross from fellow senior Colin Hayes in the 16th minute and 10 minutes later, Grozinski drilled a 25-yard free kick to extend the Lacey lead to 2-0.

Senior Luke Bodziak scored the game-winning goal in the 66th minute off a set-up from classmate Brandon Dacunha and the Raiders pulled out a win over the Braves — earning Toms River East a home game vs. No. 7 Lacey Friday in the sectional quarterfinals.
South Jersey Group II
(3) Manchester 6, (14) Pennsauken Tech 0
Senior Erik Balkius scored a goal in each half and the Hawks routed the Tornados to earn the right to host Friday’s sectional quarterfinals.
Seniors Anderson Ordoñez-Mejia and Servando Gonzalez each chipped in a goal and an assist, while senior Gabe Occhipinti served up two assists for Manchester. Senior Cody McLeod and junior Josh Rosado also scored a goal apiece in the win.
(12) Barnegat 6, (5) Collingswood 0
Sophomore Nate Scisco posted a hat trick and the Bengals overwhelmed the host Panthers to earn a trip to play No. 4 Sterling Friday in the sectional quarterfinals.
Senior Leo Chamorro also scored two goals and junior Donovan Paul scored one to round out the Barnegat scoring.
South Jersey Non-Public A
(5) St. John Vianney 2, (12) Camden Catholic 2 – SJV advances on penalties, 5-3
St. John Vianney bounced back from conceding the tying goal with 20 seconds left in regulation by converting all five of its penalty kicks and junior Liam Steiner made the deciding save of the shootout to help the Lancers escape with a win over the Irish.
Junior Mason Boles scored an equalizer for SJV during regulation and the Lancers took a 2-1 lead on a goal by senior Kyle DiMarco off a pass from junior Ethan Bellone.
Chukwudi Obasi scored the second Camden Catholic goal with 20 seconds left to stun St. John Vianney and send the game into overtime.
Boles, DiMarco, senior Anthony Marano, junior Isaiah Boone and junior Alex Siniscalchi each converted their kicks during the shootout.
(7) St. Thomas Aquinas 8, (10) Donovan Catholic 0
South Jersey Non-Public B
(5) Ranney 6, (12) Noor-ul-Iman 5 (OT)
Senior Saeed Torres capped a four-goal game with the golden goal to give the Panthers a wild, overtime win over Noor-ul-Iman and a chance to host Friday’s sectional quarterfinal against No. 13 Wilberforce.
Senior Dev Nayer also scored two goals and assisted the third goal by Torres, which gave Ranney a 5-2 lead in the 49th minute. After Noor-ul-Iman stormed back to tie the game — led by a four-goal game by Ameen Mohamed — with three goals in a span of 16 minutes, Torres ended the comeback effort with his fourth goal. Junior John Laub assisted two goals — one by Nayer and the other by Torres.
