No. 1 Howell 3, Long Branch 0
Senior Nick Turturro scored off a pass from classmate Tye Maser in the 28th minute and the Rebels tacked on two more goals in the second half to finish off a win over the Green Wave.
John Fiorillo converted a pass from fellow senior Tyler Borenstein in the 60th minute and senior Kam Brown capped the scoring with a goal in the 74th.
Rumson-Fair Haven 1, No. 2 CBA 0
Senior Luke D’Angelo scored in the seventh minute of overtime and the Bulldogs knocked off the reigning Shore Conference Tournament champion Colts.
Senior Charlie Butters played the ball ahead to D’Angelo, who flicked a header forward and took off on a breakaway before completing the goal with a low finish.
Junior Goalkeeper Jack Del Priore saved 15 shots to earn the shutout, including one late in the second half that was headed to the upper 90 of the net.

No. 3 Colts Neck 3, No. 10 Middletown North 1
Senior Kyle Moore scored the equalizer for Colts Neck, then assisted goals by junior Jonah Chiang and sophomore Sean Moore to propel the Cougars over the Lions for their fifth straight win to open the season.
Middletown North jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a header by Ethan Kinch on a cross from Paul Que 3:42 into the match.
Kyle Moore answered with a header of his own in the 16th, flicking a long pass from Josh Katsnelson into the goal for the tying score. The elder Moore then flicked a corner kick by Ben Kazani to the front of the goal, where Chiang slammed it in from point-blank range to make it 2-1 Colts Neck in the 19th minute.
Sean Moore capped the scoring in the 67th with his eighth goal in Colts Neck’s first five games. Kyle Moore slid a deflected pass to his younger brother, who accelerated past two defenders and buried a shot to the far left side netting. Sean Moore has scored at least one goal in each of Colts Neck’s first five matches.
No. 5 Manalapan 9, St. Rose 2
Senior Jon Luz put up a hat trick to go with two assists as the Braves cruised to a win over the Purple Roses. Junior Ethan Lustig also scored two goals and junior Eduardo Russo dished out three assists. Christian Laverde, Dan Altman, Ethan Rosenfield and Jordan Rosen each scored a goal as well for Manalapan.

Class A South
Jackson Memorial 1, Point Boro 1
Point Boro’s Drew Cardia and Jackson Memorial’s Alex Felicelli traded goals 10 minutes apart in the second half and the Jaguars and Panthers settled for a draw.
Cardia scored off a feed from Sean Hankins in the 65th to break open the scoring. In the 75th, Rob Calamia found Felicelli for the equalizer.
No. 6 Southern 2, Central 1 (OT)
Senior Aidan Donnelly drilled a 15-yard strike in the second minute of overtime and the Rams scored two goals in the final five minutes of the match to stun the Golden Eagles.
Central defended a Southern corner kick and the Rams retrieved the ball to make another push at the goal. Junior Brody Nacarlo served the ball from the left side of the field and Prosperi tracked it to the far post and slammed it in for the equalizer with 2:41 minutes showing on the clock.
In overtime, Christian Alvarado settled the ball out of a scrum in the box and slid it to Donnelly, who touched it one time to his right and drilled the winning shot into the far right corner of the goal.
Central took a 1-0 lead in the 31st minute when senior Jordan Benzon drew a trip inside the 18-yard box and finished the sequence with the go-ahead penalty kick.
No. 7 Toms River North 3, Toms River East 2
Junior Brady Gillman scored what proved to be the deciding goal to put his team ahead, 3-0, and the Mariners held on to beat the rival Raiders.
Class B North
Shore 7, Raritan 2
Junior Santino Scarponi scored two goals in his season debut and classmate Cooper Attaway also scored a pair as the Blue Devils scored six second-half goals to pull away from the Rockets.
Senior Jadyn DeRosa assisted four of the seven Shore goals, including the lone Blue Devils goal of the first half, scored by senior Stephen Molnar. Sophomore Silvio Pessoa then scored in the 53rd minute off the first of two assists by senior Riley Murphy and DeRosa assisted goals by Attaway and sophomore Mike Ilvento one minute apart.
Scarponi later scored twice in the span of a little more than a minute with Attaway scoring a goal in between to give the Blue Devils three goals in under two minutes.
Junior Owen Brackett scored both Raritan goals, including one in each half.

Seniors Noor Eraky and Ryan Fernandez each scored a goal and the Spartans blanked the Huskies.
Class B Central
Keyport 2, Asbury Park 1
Brayan Rodriguez scored a goal and assisted another by Justin Visaggio to lead the Red Raiders over the Blue Bishops for their first win of the season. Brandon Joseph scored the goal for Asbury Park.
Monmouth, 7, Henry Hudson 0
Rob Sherman recorded his third straight hat trick and Lua Mendonca-Braga went off for two goals and two assists to lead the Falcons to a one-sided win over the Admirals.
Sherman also added an assist, Tanner Simpson assisted two goals and Dario Dwomoh and Will Theobald each chipped in a goal.
Ranney 4, Red Bank Catholic 2
Eddie Magherini scored two goals and assisted one more to lead the Panthers over the Caseys. Senior Dev Nayar also pitched in a goal and an assist and senior Saaed Torres also scored a goal for Ranney.
Class B South
Jackson Liberty 2, New Egypt 0
Rick Kosek broke a scoreless tie with a goal in the 57th minute and added the capper in the 77th as the Lions blanked the Warriors.
Toms River South 5, Lakewood 1
Junior Jacob Myers scored a goal and assisted two others as five different Toms River South players scored a goal in an Indians win over the Piners.
Myers found senior Caden Langan for Toms River South’s first goal with a cross into the box and after scoring off a corner kick from sophomore Brody Robillard, Myers set up a goal by senior Anthony Johnson to make it 3-0.
Senior Noah Beaton chipped in Toms River South’s fourth goal off a pass by junior Owen Beneciuk and senior Anthony Catusco finished off a cross by junior Shane Gambarony to cap the Indians scoring.
Manchester 1, Lacey 0
Junior Brayden Kurak scored off a pass from senior Gabe Ochipinti in the 15th minute and the Hawks made it stand up in a key divisional win over the Lions — a showdown between the two 2023 Class B South co-champions.

Brick Memorial 3, Donovan Catholic 0
Sophomore Nate Stryker scored two goals and senior Mason Muolo accounted for the other to help the Mustangs top the Griffins.
Brick 2, Barnegat 1
Junior Anthony Martone scored two goals nine minutes apart in the first half and the Green Dragons held on for a road win over the Bengals. Senior Joe Fiorillo scored to pull Barnegat within 2-1 in the 27th minute.
Point Beach 3, Pinelands 0
Junior Dylan Ryan scored two goals in the first half and assisted a second-half goal by sophomore Brody Powers to lead the Garnet Gulls past the Wildcats.
