Week 5 Player of the Week Fan Voting 9/30 to 10/6

Class A North

Grace Greene, Trinity Hall

Greene has played an important role on the Monarch’s defensive line all season. Last week she had the task of shutting down Abby Hannemann, who is Point Boro’s top playmaker. Greene was able to prevent the Panthers from scoring in a 0-0 tie.

Class A Central

Jordyn Sullivan, Rumson-Fair Haven

The sophomore scored four goals and had one assist last week for Rumson. She scored two goals in a 3-0 victory over division rival Colts Neck and two goals against Matawan in a SCT group game. She ended the week with an assist against Central in a 2-1 win. The win secured a first-round bye for Rumson in the Shore Conference Tournament.

Class A South

Zia Gould, Jackson Memorial

The freshman had a big week for the Jaguars, scoring twice and assisting on two goals. Gould scored the game’s lone goal against division rival Toms River South in a 1-0 victory. In an SCT group game against Colts Neck, she scored a goal and assisted on the game-winner in a 2-1 victory. The win secured the Jaguars a bye in the first round of the SCT.

Class B North

Tina Ensuar, Monmouth

Ensuar scored her second goal of the season against division rival Matawan. The game’s lone goal came unassisted in the first half. Earlier in the week, Ensuar’s play helped Monmouth defeat Colts Neck and qualify for the SCT.

Class B Central

Adriana Ramirez, Long Branch

Ramirez is two goals away from matching her freshman-year total of 20. Last week she scored five goals for Long Branch, including a hat trick against Raritan. She added a goal against top-ten ranked Central and one against New Egypt in a 3-1 victory.

Class B South

Mackenzie Brotherston, Lacey

Brotherston is a key piece to Lacey’s three-pronged attack this season and stepped up in a big way last week. With the Class B South title on the line, Brotherston scored the game-winner in the final minute in regulation against Toms River East. The victory secured the Lions’ spot on top of the division. She also had two assists earlier in the week in an SCT Group game.

Class C South

Jayla Duff, Barnegat

Duff has improved on her numbers from freshman year to lead Barnegat in scoring. Last week she scored three goals and had three assists in the Bengals’ two victories. In a 4-0 victory over Donovan Catholic, she scored two goals and had two assists.

Wildcards

Keira Mulvihill, Toms River South

Mulvihill picked a great time to have the first multi-goal game of her career with a pair of goals against then-No. 1 Middletown South. Her two goals helped Toms River South upset the Eagles, 4-2, and lock up the top spot in SCT Group I.

Kennedy Wallace, St. John Vianney

Wallace has picked a good time of the year to take her game into another gear. Last week she scored three goals and had three assists for the Lancers. She scored the game-winner in a 1-0 victory over Manalapan to win SCT Group D and secure a bye in the first round. Wallace had three assists in a 4-0 win over Barnegat and scored twice against Red Bank.

Ava Bjorndahl, Point Boro

Bjorndahl posted three shutouts last week, bringing her total to eight on the season. She made 10 saves in a 0-0 tie against Trinity Hall. The draw gave Point Boro the number one spot in SCT Group G. She also had eight saves in a 0-0 tie against Manalapan in a non-divisional game.
