Howell freshman Tim O’Rourke is the Ultimate Tree Service Wrestler of the Week

Every week this winter, Shore Sports Insider will honor standout high school wrestling performances in our Shore Conference Wrestler of the Week poll, presented by Ultimate Tree Service.

Our inaugural poll encompassed December’s Holiday Tournaments, and after multiple days of voting, Howell freshman Tim O’Rourke has been selected as the first wrestler of the week of the 2024-2025 season.

At the time of the poll, O’Rourke was off to an 8-0 start as a freshman, including the 215-pound title at Paulsboro’s John & Betty Vogeding Tournament. Entering the week of January 13, O’Rourke is still unbeaten with a 13-0 record that includes 12 wins by bonus points with five pins, two technical falls and five major decisions.

The Rebels are currently 9-1 and have non-conference matches this week against High Point and Jefferson.
