Shore Sports Insider 2025 Girls Soccer: 1st Team All-Shore
2025 Shore Sports Insider Girls Soccer All-Shore Team
All-Shore Teams were selected by Shore Sports Insider Girls Soccer Editor Nick Lowe based on first-hand accounts, coaches input, statistics and players’ impact on team success.
First Team All-Shore
Goalkeeper:
Madeline Petrulla, So., Manasquan (7 Shutouts)
A name that was never mentioned in the preseason for possible postseason awards was first year starter Madeline Petrulla who received significant praise from opposing head coaches on some of the top teams in the Shore Conference. Petrulla had eight games with 10 saves or more along with a career-high 35 saves against top-ranked Manalapan in a 1-0 double overtime loss. When Manasquan faced Manalapan for a second time in the Shore Conference Tournament, Petrulla once again kept her team in the game with 15 saves. The experience Petrulla gained as a sophomore playing in Class A North makes the future bright for Manasquan.

Defenders:
Emma Christensen, Sr., Central (2 Goals, 6 Assists)
Christensen’s exceptoinal career at Central Regional comes to an end after helping Central become a Shore Conference power in her four years on defense. From day one, Christensen made an impact which helped Central win a South Jersey Group 4 title as a sophomore. The East Stroudsburg commit guided a defense that allowed only four goals throughout the season which lifted the team to an 18-2-1 record. Even though Christensen played defense, when Central would have their backs against the wall, you would see her versatility and skill level on the offensive side of the field. It is rare you see defenders recognized the way Christensen is, but her leadership and level of play is why she was one of the finalists for the Shore Sports Insider Player of the Year award.

Samantha Mierzwiak, Jr., Red Bank Catholic (2 Assists)
Mierzwiak has been a starter on the backline for RBC since her freshman year and emerged as one their leaders this season. She helped keep the backline organized throughout games, and also prevented opposing teams’ forwards from getting behind the Caseys’ defense. With RBC’s style of play in which they played the ball from the back, Mierzwiak played an important role with her ability to control the ball with her dribbling and connect with her passes to start the Caseys offensive attack. Occasionally, you will see Mierzwiak take the open space and attack the middle of the field with her ball control.

Constantina Papadakis, Sr., Manalapan
With how lethal the Manalapan offense was this season, people often overlook how great their defense was. Papadakis led the backline for Manalapan and helped them post 12 shutouts with three of them coming in the Central Jersey Group 4 sectional playoffs. Papadakis was a not only the leader on defense, but also one of the leaders on the whole field this season. With her ability to control the center of the backline and not allow forwards to get behind the Braves’ defense, it allowed the outside backs to creep up and support the attack.

Samantha Price, Jr., Manasquan (2 Goals, 3 Assists)
Price, who has made a significant impact since her freshman season, has proven she can play all over the backline and in the midfield the last two seasons. Manasquan felt the pain when Price was injured shortly before the Central Jersey Group 2 sectional playoffs. Not only did head coach Bailey Price have to move players into different positions to account for the massive loss, but the Warriors lost her experience and ability on the field. Price is a player that opposing coaches often talk about after they play against Manasquan about the impact she makes on the defensive side of the field and the problems she causes opposing forwards.

Midfielders:
Daniella Butash, Sr., Manalapan (18 Goals, 6 Assists)
Butash was a dangerous attacker ever since she stepped on the field as a freshman. She emerged as a star and a leader her junior season, scoring 16 goals to help Manalapan reach the Central Jersey Group 4 title game. This year she scored a career-high 18 goals to finish with 49 on her career. Butash has many important goals in her career, but none as important as the game-winner in the Shore Conference Tournament semifinal against Rumson with just over 10 minutes left to play. Minutes before, she assisted on the equalizer for Manalapan after they trailed for the first time of the season. Her performance in that game was just one example of the play that made her a Shore Sports Insider Player of the Year finalist as she helped Manalapan win their first Shore Conference Tournament since 1988.

Leah DiCillo, Jr., Central (9 Goals, 11 Assists)
For the second season in a row, DiCillo was named to an All-Shore team. One of the top playmakers in the Shore Conference, DiCillo runs the attack for Central Regional and helps set her forwards up for goals. Her tremendous IQ for the game and her ability to keep the ball on her foot makes her a nightmare for opposing teams to game plan for. She finished the season tied for first on the team with nine goals scored and led the team with 11 assists on the season. Only a junior, the Loyola Maryland commit has one more season to try to bring another South Jersey Group 4 title home to Central.

Ryan Raynor, Sr., Trinity Hall (2 Goals, 9 Assists)
The engine in the middle of the field for Trinity Hall this season, Raynor is a versatile player that Coach Trombetta has been able to use in a variety different positions over her four-year career. This season Raynor controlled the midfield for the Monarchs and her impact on the team was felt when she was injured in the second round of the Shore Conference Tournament. She returned in time to help Trinity Hall in the semifinal as they reached their first ever Shore Conference Tournament final. The Monarch forwards benefited from Raynor’s high IQ and playmaking ability.

Kayla Sasso, Jr., Manalapan (8 Goals, 9 Assists)
Sasso might not have had the same offensive statistics as several of her teammates, but she had just as sizable of an impact as the rest of them. Moving to midfield with the return of Olivia Ziobro, Sasso put the team first and helped Manalapan dominate the middle of the field alongside Butash. Even though she did not score as many goals as her sophomore season, she had several important ones. Her biggest goal of the season came in the Shore Conference Tournament semifinal against Rumson when she finished a cross by Butash to tie the game in the second half.

Forwards:
Kailyn Fitzgerald, Jr., Trinity Hall (16 Goals, 7 Assists)
Fitzgerald scored a career-high 16 goals to lead the Monarchs in scoring. It was the second time she scored in the double-digits for Trinity Hall. Fitzgerald not only scored important goals this season, but she also had seven assists as a forward with her biggest being the game-winning assist against Rumson-Fair Haven to clinch the Class A Central title. Another big goal came against Wall in the Shore Conference Tournament second round in the closing minutes to send Trinity Hall into the quarterfinal round for the first time in the school’s history.

Makenzie Memmolo, Jr., Howell (21 Goals, 15 Assists)
Memmolo had a record-setting season for Howell. She became the all-time leading scorer in goals, assists and points as a junior. Memmolo has steadily improved on her statistics every season even though she is the primary focus of opposing defenses. She led the conference in assists and finished in the top ten in goals scored and total points this season. In the Shore Conference Tournament quarterfinal round she finished with one goal and two assists in a 3-2 win over Toms River South to lead Howell to their fourth straight semifinal appearance.

Jordyn Sullivan, Jr., Rumson-Fair Haven (32 Goals, 5 Assists)
Sullivan was able to double her goals scored as a junior after scoring 16 as a sophomore even though she saw double teams all season. Her combination of speed and footwork made it impossible for defenses to contain her. During the Shore Conference Tournament, she had four goals and two assists, but her biggest goal of the season came with just over one minute in double overtime when she scored the golden goal against Red Bank Catholic to send Rumson into the quarterfinal round. In the quarterfinals, she scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Point Boro to help Rumson reach the semifinal round. Her 32 goals, high level of talent, and overall impact on her team is why she was named the 2025 Shore Sports Insider Player of the Year.

Bea Tinoco, Sr., Middletown South (24 Goals, 10 Assists)
Tinoco concluded her Middletown South career with her third 20 goal-season, becoming the all-time leader at Middletown South with 83 goals scored. The Rutgers commit has wrecked havoc on the Shore Conference since she stepped on the field as a freshman four years ago and her impact to the Middletown South program cannot be measured. Tinoco used a combination of high-level footwork and strength to have her way on defenders and made her teammates better around her.
