Class A North
No. 2 Rumson-Fair Haven 49, Colts Neck 7
The Bulldogs (8-0, 5-0) completed an undefeated regular season and clinched the Class A North division championship with their victory over the Cougars (0-8, 0-5).
No. 4 Red Bank Catholic 29, Middletown South 14
Senior quarterback Frankie Williams threw for a touchdown and ran for another and junior kicker Blake Caruso connected on a pair of field goals as the Caseys (5-3, 4-1) rallied from a 14-o deficit to defeat the Eagles (3-5, 2-3).
Williams had a 13-yard touchdown run to get Red Bank Catholic on the board in the second quarter and then tossed a touchdown pass to junior wide receiver Daniel Zabora to tie the score with 3:5o left in the first half. A 37-yard field goal by Caruso gave RBC the lead for good with 1:14 left in the third quarter. Senior running back Jamie Gutridge added a touchdown run early in the fourth quarter and Caruso kicked his second field goal with 6:36 left.
Class A South
No. 1 Toms River North 31, No. 9 Donovan Catholic 0
The Mariners (9-0, 5-0) clinched the Class A South championship by delivering their fourth straight shutout to blank the rival Griffins (2-5, 2-3) and complete an undefeated regular season.
Toms River North has now won 14 straight games.
No. 3 Point Boro 38, No. 10 Howell 6
Sophomore quarterback Jake Clayton ran for 65 yards and two touchdowns on just four carries and threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to senior wide receiver Jacob Reitmeyer as the Panthers (7-2, 4-1) jumped on the Rebels (3-5, 1-4) early and rolled to a division win in their regular-season finale.
Junior fullback Calvin Videon-Perino had a 35-yard touchdown run and recovered a fumble that led to one of Clayton’s rushing touchdowns. Senior slotback Colin Obser added a 10-yard touchdown run and senior slotback Brady Kirk ran for 55 yards on three carries. Sophomore kicker Jack Sullivan kicked a 26-yard field goal and was 5-for-5 on extra points.
Senior defensive lineman Lou DiBiase had 10 tackles, a sack and a tackle for loss while Obser had eight tackles and an interception and Jacob Reitmeyer intercepted a pass.
Point Boro led 28-0 in the first quarter and 35-0 at halftime.

Class B North
No. 6 Middletown North 45, Freehold Township 19 – Game Story
Senior running back Shane Volante ran for 169 yards and a touchdown, junior quarterback Owen Robson threw two touchdown passes and senior Brian O’Donnell had a touchdown run and a touchdown catch as the Lions (7-0, 5-0) pulled away from the Patriots (5-4, 4-1) to clinch the Class B North division title.
The championship is Middletown North’s first outright division title since 1983.
Robson tossed a 16-yard touchdown pass to O’Donnell and a 69-yard touchdown pass to junior wide receiver Ryan Clark, Volante had a 15-yard touchdown run and O’Donnell ran for a 3-yard touchdown. Sophomore running back Matt Belenko added a touchdown run and junior linebacker Braden Marcotte sealed the win with a 60-yard fumble return for a touchdown.
Freehold Township senior quarterback Nick Cardone ran for a touchdown, threw a 1-yard touchdown pass to senior wideout Noah Cancella, and tossed a 24-yard touchdown pass to senior running back Justin Tamai.
Red Bank 28, Matawan 14
Senior quarterback Quinn Niesz tossed three touchdown passes and ran for another to lead the Bucs (5-3, 2-3) past the Huskies (2-6, 2-3).
Niesz threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Ari Fraser, ran for a 5-yard touchdown and tossed touchdown passes of 45 and 15 yards to Jahmir Lane-Bailey. Fraser also threw a 2-point conversion pass to Lane-Bailey.

Class B South
Toms River South 33, No. 11 Central 26
Senior running back Jake Henehan ran for 146 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries and caught a touchdown pass as the Indians (5-4, 4-1) stunned the previously-undefeated Golden Eagles (8-1, 4-1) to clinch a share of the division title.
Toms River South’s victory denied Central the outright championship and forced a three-way tie for the title with the Indians, Golden Eagles and Southern.
Junior wide receiver JJ Geremia caught a 65-yard touchdown pass from punter Chase Ford on a fake punt that gave Toms River South a 13-7 lead, senior running back Damir Nelson ran for a 1-yard touchdown and senior quarterback Gio Morales-Torres ran for a 12-yard touchdown.
Southern 41, Brick 12
Senior running back Justin Silva scored three touchdowns in the first half to lead the Rams (6-3, 4-1) past the Dragons (3-5, 2-3).
With Toms River South defeating previously-unbeaten Central, Southern claimed a three-way tie for the Class B South division title with the Indians and Golden Eagles.
Talon Plenge, Evan Wyrsch and Collin Markoski added touchdown runs.

Class C North
No. 7 Holmdel 27, Manalapan 21 – Game Story
Senior running back Matt Iulo ran for a 17-yard touchdown with 50 seconds left and the Hornets (7-1, 4-1) held on for a thrilling win over the Braves (4-5, 3-2) that clinched at least a share of the division title.
Holmdel has now won consecutive division titles for the first time in program history. They can win the title outright if Manasquan defeats Wall on Thanksgiving.
Iulo ran for a pair of touchdowns and totaled 91 yards from scrimmage while junior quarterback Jack Cannon completed 14 of 24 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 46 yards. He threw a 12-yard touchdown to Michael Todisco and a 32-yard touchdown pass to Frankie Serini to give Holmdel a 14-0 lead. Serini caught four passes for 89 yards and a score and intercepted a pass on defense.
Manalapan cut Holmdel’s lead to 14-7 on a 57-yard touchdown run by junior running back Ahsere Woolfolk (107 yards rushing). Holmdel regained a two-score lead on a 6-yard touchdown run by Iulo but Manalapan answered right back when senior quarterback Ryan Dougherty threw a 69-yard touchdown pass to senior wideout Jackson Pfister. Holmdel blocked a Manalapan field goal attempt with seven seconds left in the half to take a 21-14 lead into the break.
Manalapan tied the score at 21 on a 2-yard touchdown run by sophomore running back Nicky Palmieri with 1:30 left in the third quarter to set up the dramatic finish.
No. 12 St. John Vianney 28, Raritan 14
Class C South
Manchester 42, Monmouth 12
Senior quarterback Aidan Lunn fired three touchdown passes in the first quarter and the Hawks (7-2, 5-0) rolled from there to defeat the Falcons (0-9, 0-5) and clinch the first outright division championship in program history.
The victory also clinched a first-round home playoff game for the first time in program history. Manchester will make just its third playoff appearance in program history.
Lunn threw touchdown passes to senior tight end Ny’Zyr Battle, senior wide receiver MJ Goins and junior running back Malik Pharmes. Senior running back Avery Phillips added a touchdown run midway through the second quarter, Goins returned a punt for a touchdown and Pharmes ran for a touchdown to give Manchester a 42-0 halftime lead.
Jackson Liberty 27, Pinelands 26
Sophomore running back Corleii Thomas ran for 91 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries and junior quarterback Mason Ciccariello had a touchdown pass and a touchdown run when the Lions (5-4, 3-2) held off the Wildcats (4-4, 2-3) to win a down-to-the-wire thriller.
Pinelands needed a win to keep its playoff hopes alive after entering the week one spot outside of a qualifying position in the South Group 3 playoff super section.
Jackson Liberty led 27-14 early in the fourth quarter before Pinelands scored a touchdown with 6:59 left, trimming the Lions’ lead to 27-20 after the extra-point attempt was successful. The Wildcats scored again with 2:20 remaining and elected to go for the 2-point conversion and the lead but were stopped by Liberty. The Lions then recovered the ensuing onside kick. Pinelands got the ball back late in the game but senior safety Justin Uhteg secured a game-clinching interception on the final play.
Ciccariello completed 12 of 15 passes for 184 yards and a touchdown and ran for 50 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Junior wide receiver James Dressler had a touchdown reception and sophomore Aidan Kelly caught five passes for 92 yards.
Class D North
Shore 39, Asbury Park 12
The Blue Devils (8-0, 6-0) defeated the Blue Bishops (2-5, 2-3) to complete an undefeated regular season and clinch the Class D North division championship.
Point Beach 28, New Egypt 14
Senior running back Liam Brosnan ran for 217 yards and three touchdowns to lead Garnet Gulls (5-3, 4-2) to a critical victory over the Warriors (5-3, 4-2) that thrust Point Beach back into the South Group 1 playoff picture.
Ryan Scannell added a rushing touchdown and Jerry Santiago recorded two sacks on defense.
Point Beach unofficially clinched a South Group 1 playoff spot for the first time since 2019.
Saturday, Oct. 26
Class A North
Marlboro 21, Long Branch 0
Senior running back Christian LaFonte ran for three touchdowns to lead the Mustangs (5-3, 3-2) to a shutout victory over the Green Wave (1-7, 1-4).
Class C South
Barnegat 35, Lakewood 22
Senior running back Johnnel Johnson ran for two touchdowns, junior quarterback Jack Haviland threw two touchdowns and senior running back Myquan Rush-Esdaile had a touchdown run and a touchdown catch as the Bengals (6-3, 4-1) rallied past the Piners (4-5, 1-4).
Haviland threw a 65-yard touchdown pass to Stephen Griffin and a 5-yard touchdown pass to Rush-Esdaile. Johnson ran for scores of 30 and 2 yards and Rush-Esdaile had a 5-yard touchdown run.
Class D North
Keyport 31, Keansburg 7
The Red Raiders (1-8, 1-5) defeated the Titans (1-7, 0-6) to retain the Bayshore Bell and give head coach Charlie Marsh his first career victory.
