Shore Conference Girls Soccer Week 2 Rankings
1. Toms River South (2-0) Last Week: 1

The Indians are off to the start they hoped for, beating their first-ranked opponent on opening day and following that with a non-conference victory. TRS blanked No. 6 Freehold Township 3-0, getting three different goal scorers in the game. The Indians’ speed limited the Patriots’ chances throughout the game. TRS beat Steinert 3-1 to end the week. Junior Daniella Gordon scored two goals in the game to lead the team with three on the season.
The Indians travel to play Lacey on Wednesday in their first Class A South game of the season.
2. Red Bank Catholic (1-0) Last Week: 3

RBC switched spots this week with Class A North rival Howell after a 2-1 victory to open up their season. In a typical A North battle, both teams left it all out on the field in a back-and-forth game. Senior Kaegan Houlihan scored the game-winner off a pass from Bella Vaccaro in the second half for the Caseys. Senior Heidi Wierman was phenomenal in net for the Caseys, finishing with nine saves. Her diving save off a blast by Makenzie Memmolo with nine minutes left helped secure the win. With the win, RBC established themselves as the early favorites in Class A North.
RBC travels to Manalapan on Wednesday to play their second division game of the season. Manalapan is the defending Class A North and Shore Conference Tournament champions, but had a large roster overhaul this season. On Friday, the Caseys travel to Donovan Catholic in a SCT Group game.
3. Howell (0-1) Last Week: 2 –

Howell dropped one spot after falling to RBC in their season opener. Even with the loss, the Rebels looked strong at times and applied pressure to the Caseys’ defense. Senior Makenzie Memmolo, who set the scoring record last season at Howell, tied the game late in the first half and created several chances throughout the game. Junior Quinn Merkel, who took over the starting job in goal this season, made several key saves to keep the Rebels in the game.
Howell hosts No. 8 Trinity Hall in a Class A North game. Trinity Hall beat Howell last year 1-0 in the SCT semifinal round. The Rebels travel to Lacey on Thursday to play their first SCT Group game.
4. Central (2-0) Last Week: 4

Central passed their first two tests of a challenging schedule to start the season. The Golden Eagles beat Wall in their season opener 4-1. Freshman Annie Napolitano had a great debut, scoring two goals and assisting on another goal. Senior Leah DiCillo picked up where she left off last season with a goal and an assist. Junior Gianna Lawrence made three saves in net in her first start of the season as she takes over for Addison Frulio, who will be playing on the field this season.
In Central’s second game of the season, they shut out division rival No. 7 Point Boro 1-0. Lawrence made seven saves to earn her first shutout of the season. DiCillo scored her second goal of the season in the first half to give Central the victory.
Central hosts Southern on Wednesday in a Class A South game. Central squeaked by Southern in the South Jersey Group 4 quarterfinal round with a 1-0 victory. The Golden Eagles host Allentown on Saturday in a non-conference game. It is a battle of two teams ranked in the Top 20 of the NJ Advance Media rankings.
5. Middletown South (1-0) Last Week: 8

The Eagles moved up three spots after a convincing 4-0 victory over Manalapan and got help with three teams losing last week. Middletown South scored three second-half goals, with junior Riley Kapler leading the team with two. Three different players scored, which is a good sign following the graduation of the Eagles’ all-time leading scorer Bea Tinoco. Junior Julianna Fiore made three saves in the shutout victory after being injured for the majority of the 2025 season.
Middletown South travels to division rival Freehold Township on Wednesday. The Eagles defeated the Patriots 2-0 early last season. Middletown South starts its SCT Group play on the road against Holmdel on Friday.
6. Rumson-Fair Haven (1-0) Last Week: 9

Rumson passed their first test of the season in Class A North. Trailing 1-0 against No. 5 Trinity Hall late in the second half, reigning SSI Player of the Year Jordyn Sullivan scored two goals to give the Bulldogs their first win of the season. Rumson was edged out by Trinity Hall last season for the Class A Central title. Sullivan scored the equalizer off a corner from junior Lilly Halpern. Senior Lexi Brisman made seven saves to earn her first win of the season.
Rumson hosts neighbor Red Bank Regional on Tuesday in a non-divisional game. The Bulldogs play only one game this week as they gear up for a challenging three-game schedule next week.
7. Point Boro (0-1) Last Week: 7

Point Boro fell to the reigning Class A South Champions, Central, in their opening game of the season. These two schools have quickly become rivals, with Point Boro winning the division title in 2024, their first season in A South. Goals are hard to come by when these two schools meet, with four total in the past three games. Senior Stella Stevenson made five saves in her first game since returning from an injury. The Panthers should be getting a boost soon with Khloey Cilento returning from injury.
Point Boro travels to Toms River East on Wednesday to play their second divisional game. These two teams have not played since 2014, with Boro playing in Class B South until 2024 and TRE playing B South the last two seasons. The Panthers will travel to Brick on Friday to play their first SCT Group game.
8. Trinity Hall (1-1) Last Week: 5

Promoted to Class A North this season, the defending Class A Central champions lost a heartbreaker to rival Rumson to start the season. The Monarchs held a 1-0 lead late into the second half before conceding two goals in the last ten minutes. Last year’s leading scorer Kailyn Fitzgerald continued where she left off last year, scoring the lone goal against Rumson and adding a goal against Hightstown.
Trinity Hall scored six goals in a non-conference win against Hightstown to end the week. Sophomore Bette Kane scored two goals and added an assist for the Monarchs. Senior O’Neal Hile and freshman Elle Dollar combined for the shutout.
Trinity Hall travels to No. 3 Howell on Wednesday in a division game. Howell defeated Trinity Hall in the SCT Group stage, but the Monarchs got revenge in the SCT semifinal round with a 1-0 victory to reach the school’s first-ever championship game. Trinity Hall ends the week with a home game vs Holy Cross Prep.
9. Wall (2-1) Last Week: Not Ranked

Wall started the week with a slow start against No. 4 Central. The Knights fell 4-1 in their season opener. They rebounded with a 3-1 victory over Shore Regional to start the season 1-0 in Class A Central. Wall had three different goal scorers in that game, with seniors Kelsey Hallock and Megan Farrell both tallying a goal and an assist.
Wall ended the week in a thrilling 1- 0 double-overtime victory over rival Manasquan. The Knights had several chances to score throughout the game, but finally got the golden goal from junior Sophia Libonate with 4:23 left in overtime. Libonate, who caused problems for the Warrior defense on the outside all game, was able to finish off a cross into the box from Hallock. Junior Angelica Arcila-Montoya made four saves to earn her first career shutout.
Wall will look to improve to 3-0 in their division when they host Marlboro on Wednesday. These two teams battled to a scoreless tie last season. The Knights travel to Point Beach to play their first SCT Group game.
10. Manasquan (1-1) Last Week: Not Ranked

Manasquan started the week looking like they would climb higher in the rankings with a 4-2 defeat over previously No. 6 Freehold Township. The Warriors scored all four goals in the second half and three unanswered for the victory. Manasquan had four different goal scorers, and reigning SSI Goalie of the Year Madeline Petrulla made eight saves.
The offensive magic did not carry into the next game, where they fell to rival Wall 1-0 in double overtime. The two teams kept the game scoreless for 95 minutes before Wall was finally able to beat Petrulla and drop their first Class A Central game.
Manasquan will host Shore, who also fell to Wall last week, in a division game on Wednesday. The Warriors end the week at home against Southern in the first game of the SCT Group stage.
