American Division

Southern 12, Holmdel 2

Senior midfielder Liam Griffin scored twice to reach 100 career goals and help lead the Rams (5-3, 2-3) to a division win over the Hornets (3-6, 0-6).

Southern led 7-0 at halftime and 11-1 heading to the fourth quarter.

Griffin finished with two goals and one assist while senior Joe Kessler recorded a game-high five points on four goals and one assist. Sophomore attackman Shea O’Donnell registered two goals and three assists and sophomore attackman Cash McVey notched a hat trick. Sophomore midfielder Kyle Sininsky had a goal and an assist and freshman attackman Niko Iliescu dished out two assists. Sophomore midfielder Chris Hughes recorded his first varsity point with an assist. Senior AJ Mattern (8 saves) and sophomore Nick Hughes (5 saves) split time in goal.

 

Shore 11, Wall 10

Senior midfielder Tucker Malfa scored five goals and sophomore goalie Joey Longo made timely saves in the fourth quarter as the Blue Devils held off a late charge by the Crimson Knights to win their sixth game in a row.

It was a two-goal game for much of the afternoon until Shore (7-2, 5-1) increased its advantage to 11-8 with 2:16 left on goals by junior midfielder John Mazzacco and sophomore attackman Brady McHugh. Wall was able to cut it to 11-10 with 34 seconds left on goals by junior attackman Wyatt Capro and junior midfielder Patrick Freued in a span of 28 seconds. Shore was able to win the ensuing face-off and draw a penalty, which enabled the Blue Devils to run out the clock.

Mazzacco and senior attackman Braden Miller each scored twice while McHugh and senior midfielder Lukas Villa had one goal apiece.

Capro led Wall (3-8, 1-5) with four goals while senior attackman Owen Moore and sophomore attackman Parker Quinn each scored twice. Freud and senior attackman Jackson Lemongelli each scored once.

Shore led 4-3 after the first quarter, 6-4 at halftime, and 8-6 heading to the fourth quarter.

 

Colonial Division

Middletown North 17, Point Boro 3

 

Constitution Division

Brick Memorial 9, Ocean 2

Junior attackman Nick Correia scored twice and dished out three assists to become Brick Memorial’s all-time leader in assists and lead the Mutangs (6-4, 4-2) past the Spartans (5-3, 3-2).

Junior attackman Jack Deufemia recorded a hat trick, senior attackman Austin Edwards posted two goals and one assist, and junior midfielder Justin Karlbon scored twice. Senior FOGO Frank Taylor won 11 of 14 face-offs, senior defenseman AJ Ehrmantraut picked up 13 ground balls, and senior goalie Matt Hillin made 14 saves.

Juniors Roman Leonardi and Mickey McGovern each scored once and junior attackman Jack Varley had two assists for Ocean.

 

Freedom Division

Central 10, Neptune 3

Senior attackman Brian Vannote scored four goals and tallied two assists to lead the Golden Eagles (6-1, 4-1) past the Scarlet Fliers (3-6, 1-5).

Junior attackman Jake Agugliaro scored two goals and distributed four assists. Senior attackman Patrick Florek scored two goals and tallied one assist. Senior attackman Aiden Martenson and senior midfielder Matthew Denman each scored once. Senior defenseman Evan Sult, senior midfielder Thomas Rotella, and junior midfielder Tristan Rodriguez each tallied an assist. Senior goalie Brady Etzkorn recorded seven saves while freshman goalie Colby Etzkorn had three saves in the win for the Golden Eagles.

 

New Egypt 2, Brick 1

Steven Meleg had a goal and an assist and Braeden Fischer scored as the Warriors (4-3) won a defensive battle over the Dragons (1-8).
