Shore Conference Tournament Championship

(3) Red Bank Catholic 9, (5) Colts Neck 1

Senior pitcher Lily Hagan struck out 9 batters and allowed 5 hits and a walk as the Caseys (19-3) defeated the Cougars (11-9) to capture their first Shore Conference Tournament Championship since 2010. Senior SS Nicole Knox went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles, a walk, 3 RBIs, and 2 runs. Sophomore 2B Grace Lombardi hit a 2 RBI triple. Freshman 1B Mackenna Savage went 1 for 3 with a triple, a walk, and an RBI. Senior CF Sophia Lasaster finished 1 for 2 with a double, a walk, 2 RBIs, and a run. Senior RF Brianna Santangelo was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles, an RBI, and 2 runs.

The Cougars scored the 1st run of the game in the top of the 1st inning as freshman Jillian Heyser hit a single to right field to score junior SS Gabriella Bryce who led off the game with a double.

 

Class A South

Donovan Catholic 4, Point Boro 0

Junior pitcher Dani Rodriguez struck out 11 batters and allowed just 2 hits and 1 hit batter in a complete game win for the Griffins (21-1, 10-0) over the Panthers (8-10, 3-6). Senior Gia Gordon went 2 for 3 with a double, an RBI, and a run. Seniors Sophia Senger, Christina Ginex, and Gianna Apostolakos each hit an RBI single.

Ocean 10, St. Rose 0 (5 innings)

Trinity Hall 12, Keyport 0

Sophomore pitcher Emma Mullins struck out 13 batters and allowed just 1 hit in a 5-inning victory for the Monarchs (11-5, 11-2) over the Red Raiders (3-9, 3-9). Mullins went 2 for 3 at the plate with a walk and an RBI. Junior CF Elizabeth Romer went 1 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Sophomore C Ella Larkin was 1 for 2 with a double, an RBI, and a walk.

Middletown South 2, Howell 1

Sophomore pitcher Riley Smith struck out 12 batters and allowed 5 hits and 1 walk in a complete game win for the Eagles (14-5) over the Rebels (12-8). Sophomore Reagan Heaney and freshman 3B Jordyn Cowell both hit an RBI single.

Matawan 3, Middletown North 1

Junior pitcher Emma Kriegstein struck out 6 batters and allowed 3 hits in a complete game victory for the Huskies (10-9) against the Lions (10-10). Sophomore Devynn Whinna went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs. Senior Isabelle Wiemer was 3 for 4 with a double, an RBI, and a run.

 

Freehold Township 9, Manalapan 3

 

Point Beach 9, Rumson-Fair Haven 7

Senior Sydney Zylinski hit a single with 3 RBIs, stole 2 bases, and scored 2 runs to lead the Garnet Gulls (4-14) past the Bulldogs (5-14). Sophomore Gia Gates was 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs and 2 stolen bases. Freshman Olivia D’Erasmo went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs and a HBP.

 

Monmouth 8, Manchester 7

Senior SS Erin Clancey went 2 for 5 with a home run, 4 RBIs, and 2 runs to lead the Falcons (8-10) past the Hawks (5-11). Junior Emma Riccardi went 2 for 4 with a double, an RBI, and a run. Senior Aki Sykes was 3 for 5 with an RBI and a run.

 

Southern 4, Jackson Memorial 2

Senior Kayla Riley went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs to lead the Rams (13-7) past the Jaguars (12-10). Sophomore Abigail Krill was 2 for 3 with a double, an RBI, and a run.

 

Raritan 11, Brick Memorial 4

Senior Kiernan Mulligan went 3 for 4 with a double, a walk, 2 RBIs, and a run as the Rockets (17-3) topped the Mustangs (9-10). Senior Julia DelMasto was 2 for 4 with a walk and 2 RBIs.

 

Pinelands 7, Central 2

Senior pitcher Elianna Meola struck out 6 batters and allowed 5 hits, 1 earned run, and a hit batter as the Wildcats (16-3) defeated the Golden Eagles (7-13). Junior Audra Daniel hit a 2 RBI double. Senior Hannah Theuret went 2 for 3 with a double, an HBP, an RBI, and 2 runs.

 

Lacey 11, Toms River North 4

Senior Sam Jackson went 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBIs as the Lions (10-8) defeated the Mariners (2-16). Senior pitcher Julia Kovacs struck out 6 batters and allowed 8 hits, 3 walks, and 2 earned runs in a complete game. Kovacs went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI at the plate. Junior Chloe Emmons was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI.
