No. 5 Howell 3, No. 2 Middletown South 2 (OT)
Freshman Allison Cahill tapped in a golden goal to complete a furious comeback victory for the Rebels (5-0, 2-0) in a battle of unbeatens against the Eagles (4-1, 2-1). Middletown South senior forward Bea Tinoco scored 2 first half goals to give the Eagles a 2-0 lead at halftime. Howell senior Layla Barbosa converted on a 35-yard free kick to get the Rebels on the board. They would tie the game with 1:55 remaining on a cross from junior forward Makenzie Memmolo to sophomore Isabella Farinick who tapped the ball in at the far post. Cahill’s golden goal came with 6:19 remaining in the first overtime period.

Marlboro 2, Ocean 0
The Mustangs (3-2, 1-2) topped the Spartans (1-7, 0-2) behind two first half goals. Senior Samantha Arntz found freshman forward Emily Coniglio for the first score of the game. Later in the half, Arntz found sophomore midfielder Mackenzie Klatsky for what turned out to be the final goal of the game. Junior goalie Jordyn Bauer saved 10 shots in the shutout.
St. John Vianney 6, Colts Neck 1
Sophomore Kennedy Wallace scored 2 goals and junior Colleen Sullivan added a goal and 2 assists as the Lancers (4-2, 1-0) cruised past the Cougars (4-2, 1-1). Senior Samantha Grueiro and juniors Gianna Cerniglia and Gabby Parker also added a goal. Junior Maya Pflug and sophomore Giulianna Goldberg each tallied an assist.
Class A South
No. 3 Central 4, Brick Memorial 0
The Golden Eagles (5-0-1, 2-0-1) cruised past the Mustangs (0-5, 0-3) on four goals by four different players. Senior forward Brianna Nelson, junior forward Madeline Leppard, sophomore forward Addison Anacker, and sophomore midfielder Sophia Napolitano each finished with a goal in the win.

Senior Reese Achille’s second half goal off a pass from senior Erica Pokorny lifted the Dragons (3-3-1, 2-0-1) over the Griffins (1-3, 1-1). Sophomore goalie Skye Buksar recorded 7 saves in the shutout.
