Shore Conference Tournament

Group 4

No. 4 Middletown South 8, Colts Neck 2

Middletown South (5-2) ended their two game losing streak and clinched a spot in the Shore Conference Tournament with a 8-2 win over Colts Neck (4-4). Sophomore Elizabeth Eckelman scored four goals and had an assist to lead the Eagles. Rutgers commit Bea Tinoco scored a hat-trick, giving her 14 goals on the season, and added two assists for Middletown South.

Group 8

Rumson-Fair Haven 5, Matawan 1

Rumson (6-3) broke a 1-1 halftime tie and scored four goals in the second half to earn three points in SCT Group 8. Senior Chase Memmott scored a hat-trick to lead the Bulldogs in the victory.

Class A North

Manasquan 1, Wall 0

With 3:25 left in the second half, Samantha Price sent a corner deep into the box where Gabby Restivo was able to get her head on the ball and head back into the goal to give Manasquan (5-3) win over Wall (3-4-1). Madeline Petrulla made 15 saves for Manasquan to earn her 4th shutout of the season.

 

Non-Divisional

No. 2 Red Bank Catholic 2, Toms River East 0

RBC (7-2) scored a goal in both halves and their defense shutdown Toms River East’s (7-1) offense to win their 7th game of the season. Freshman Penny Foye scored the game winning goal with 7:16 left in the first half. Sophomore Grace Pauwels scored her fourth goal of the season after she beat a defender and got into the box for the finish. Heidi Wierman earned her 5th shutout of the season for the Caseys.

No. 10 Freehold Township 3, Lacey 1

After conceding a goal to Lacey (5-4) in the first minute of the second half, Freehold Township (4-3-2) scored three unanswered to win the non-divisional match-up. Senior Christina Celano scored the equalizer in the 51st minute and Morgan Notaro scored the game-winner off a pass from Reese Metcalfe in the 57th minute. Freshman Adele Moy added an insurance goal for the Patriots in the 64th minute.

Senior Ava Flanagan scored in her third straight game for Lacey 16 seconds into the second half.

New Egypt 1, Neptune 0

Senior Julia Schorr scored a golden-goal off a pass from Madison Adam to give New Egypt (5-3-1) the non-divisional win over Neptune (3-4-1). Maya Czarnowski made 15 saves to earn her 3rd shutout of the season.

Jackson 6,  Ocean 2

Jackson (4-4) scored three goals in each half and had six different goal scorers to win the non-divisional game against Ocean (1-9-1). Alexa Berkley scored the Jaguars first goal and Faith Moroney scored what would be the game winner in the first half.

Toms River South 2, Toms River North 0

Junior Jaelyn Mayne scored a goal in both halves to lead TRS (4-1-2) to a win over crosstown rival TRN (3-6). Ava Knight and Ellie O’Leary add the assists for the Indians.

 

Non-Conference

No. 9 Trinity Hall 5, West Windsor-Plainsboro North 0

Trinity Hall (8-1-1) continues their shutout streak by blanking West Windsor-Plainsboro North in a non-conference game. Anna Martin made three saves to earn her first shutout of the season and the Monarchs 9th of the season. Sophomore Kaylee Davis scored two goals and assisted on another and Grace Greene scored a goal and assisted on another for Trinity Hall.

Notre Dame 1, Shore 0

Freshman Alex Paulus scored a second half goal for Notre Dame (4-4) to defeat Shore (4-4) in a non-conference game. Sydney Tilton made 9 saves for the Blue Devils.
