Warriors Classic

At Manasquan High School

Manasquan 38, Trinity Hall 23

The Warriors (7-0) erased a 13-6 deficit at the end of the first quarter to knock off the Monarchs (6-1) in a battle of undefeated teams. The Warriors outscored the Monarchs 32-9 after the first quarter including a strong 12-2 surge in the second quarter to regain the lead. Senior guards Jordyn Hollawell and Shannon Looney as well as sophomore guard Calista Vowteras each scored nine points. Junior forward Rose Latesta chipped in five points.

Senior guard Whitney Hobson scored nine points in the loss. Senior forward Grace Feeney added eight points.

Non-Division

Lacey 46, Brick Memorial 44

Senior Brooklynn Bell scored a game-high 21 points as the Lions (5-3) topped the Mustangs (2-6) in a thriller. Sophomore Lena Little added 15 points.

Jackson 52, Donovan Catholic 36

Senior Isabella Finer knocked down four three-pointers, had six steals, and finished with a game-high 23 points as the Jaguars (4-2) prevailed overs the Griffins (2-4). Senior Julianna Old registered a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Freshman Mya Grzyb chipped in five points. Sophomore Madalena Grueiro matched a game-high with 12 rebounds.

Middletown South 33, Holmdel 32

Senior guard Ava Loucopoulos sank a free throw with 4.2 seconds remaining to lift the Eagles (3-3) over the Hornets (2-4). The game was tied 32-32 when Loucopoulos received an inbounds pass at the top of the key, drove to the left, and was fouled at the basket. The senior proceeded to miss the first attempt but make the second. The Hornets were unable to get a shot off on their final possession. Junior forward Madison Lane finished with 15 points. Loucopoulos added a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Central 59, Point Beach 17

Senior guard Brianna Nelson scored a game-high 13 points as the Golden Eagles (5-1) soared past the Garnet Gulls (1-6). Senior forward Emma Christensen added 12 points. Senior forward Jaelynn Witte chipped in 10 points. Senior forward Tori Rapolla dished out a team-high three assists. The Golden Eagles’ defense accumulated 22 steals in the game.

Rumson-Fair Haven 52, Shore 38

Junior guard Chloe Kelly poured in a game-high 20 points to go along with seven rebounds and five steals as the Bulldogs (7-0) held off the Blue Devils (2-5) to continue their hot start to the season. Senior Erin Reid added 16 points while junior Grace Smith added 12 points.

Senior guard Ava Coyle scored a team-high 15 points in the loss.

Colts Neck 56, Toms River East 42

Sophomore Allison McAndrew poured in a game-high 20 points to lead the Cougars (5-2) past the Raiders (3-3). It was McAndrew’s third game scoring twenty or more points so far this season. Sophomore Julianna Jasina added 15 points. Sophomore Avery Wallace finished with 10 points including two treys. Junior Mattilyn Caffiero chipped in six points.

Junior Kacey Briles scored a team-high 11 points in the loss. Junior Libby Dickman added 10 points.

Ocean 39, Pinelands 22

Senior center Ava Chebookjian scored a team-high 11 points as the Spartans (6-1) prevailed over the Wildcats (1-5). Sophomore guard Erin Decker added nine points. Senior guard Yassmeen Youssef and sophomore forward Emma Burke each chipped in eight points.

Sophomore Rory Krier scored a game-high 12 points in the loss.

Non-Conference

New Egypt 29, Nottingham 21

Senior forward Madison Adam scored a game-high 15 points to lead the Warriors (3-4) past the Northstars (1-6). Senior forward Olivia Stillwell added nine points. The Warriors led 13-12 at halftime before outscoring the Northstars 10-3 in the third quarter and holding steady the rest of the way.

Southern 44, Steinert 37

Freshman Mia Pratola scored a career-high 15 points to lead the Rams (5-2) past the Spartans (3-4). Sophomore Gabriella Lum added 13 points. Sophomore Mackenzie Sininsky finished with 10 points. Freshman Mikayla Blahut chipped in six points.

Glen Ridge 46, Marlboro 31

Junior forward Caitlin Hood scored a game-high 21 points as the Ridgers (5-3) defeated the Mustangs (3-4).

Junior guard Maddyn Callow and sophomore guard Mackenzie Klatsky each scored 11 points in the loss.
