First Round

The Dragons (14-7) stiffened up on defense and did not allow the Hornets (8-13) to get off a shot on the final possession to survive and advance to the Round of 16. Sophomore guard Ilyani Pozo scored a team-high 13 points off the bench. Sophomore guard Kendall Fredricksen added 10 points.

Sophomore Claire Gillespie scored a game-high 14 points and pulled down eight rebounds in the loss.

Brick will travel to sixth-seeded Howell in the next round. Howell won both matchups earlier in the season by scores of 40-37 and 43-38.

(10) Neptune 55, (23) Southern 51

Sophomore center Bryanna Edgerson exploded with a career-high 25 points, 14 rebounds, and three blocks to lead the Scarlet Fliers (15-2) to a come-from-behind victory over the Rams (13-9) to advance to the Round of 16. Neptune trailed 28-18 at halftime and 39-31 at the end of the third quarter before outscoring Southern 24-12 the rest of the way. Junior guard Lana Ellington added 10 points, five steals, and three rebounds. Senior guard Majiah Quarles finished with nine points and five rebounds. Junior guard Jacenia Furman also added nine points.

Freshman Mikayla Blahut registered a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds to go along with four assists and four steals in the loss. Freshman Mia Pratola finished with 16 points. Sophomores Gabriella Lum and Mackenzie Sininsky each added eight points.

Neptune will travel to Trinity Hall in the next round. The two teams met just three days ago with Trinity Hall coming away with a 59-32 win.

(17) Marlboro 74, (16) Point Boro 72

Sophomore guard Mackenzie Klatsky and junior guard Maddyn Callow combined for 58 points as the Mustangs (14-7) withstood a furious rally from the Panthers (11-11) to advance to the Round of 16. The Mustangs were up by as much as 28 points before the Panthers rallied with strong full-court press. Klatsky drained six three-pointers and finished with a game-high 30 points. Callow also drilled six three-pointers on her way to 22 points. Sophomore guard Olivia Stellato added nine points. Freshman guard Madelyn Budveit chipped in a career-high eight points.

Freshman forward Julia Collins registered a double-double with a career-high 24 points and 12 rebounds in the loss. Sophomore guard Georgia D’Angelo added 17 points, three rebounds, and three steals. Freshman center Mackenzie Ferwerda recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Senior forward Angela Forese chipped in eight points.

Marlboro will travel to top-seeded Red Bank Catholic in the next round. The two teams last played in 2024.

(14) Toms River East 51, (19) Manchester 41

Junior guard Libby Dickman buried three treys and finished with a game-high 20 points to lead the Raiders (12-8) past the Hawks (8-11) and into the Round of 16. Senior Jillian Fitzgibbons had a big-time performance with a career-high 10 points. Junior Kylie Paladino added eight points.

Junior guard Madeline Nolan scored a team-high 18 points in the loss. Senior guard Marisiya Goins added 10 points.

Toms River East will travel to third-seeded Manasquan in the next round. The two teams have not played since 2015.

(13) Jackson 49, (20) Central 40

Senior Isabella Finer poured in a game-high 24 points to go along with six rebounds and four blocks to lead the Jaguars (12-8) past the Golden Eagles (15-5) and into the Round of 16. Senior Avery Brooks knocked down three treys and finished with nine points. Senior Julianna Old added eight points, nine rebounds, and three blocks. As a team, the Jaguars had strong rim protection as they blocked eight total shots.

Senior forward Emma Christensen scored a team-high 16 points in the loss. Sophomore guard Addison Anacker finished with 10 points. Senior guard Brianna Nelson added seven points.

Jackson will travel to fourth-seeded Rumson-Fair Haven in the next round.

(18) Shore 44, (15) Toms River South 31

Senior guard Ava Coyle scored a team-high 12 points to lead a balanced scoring effort as the Blue Devils (14-9) knocked off the Indians (15-6). Freshman guard Emily Coyle knocked down three treys and finished with 11 points. Freshman forward Sydney Tilton added 10 points. Junior forward Grace Ascolese chipped in six points.

Junior guard Linsey Cribbin scored a game-high 16 points in the loss to go along with six rebounds and four steals. Sophomore Daniella Gordon added seven points and six rebounds.

Shore will travel to second-seeded St. John Vianney in the next round. The two teams have not played since 2018.

(9) Red Bank 43, (24) Freehold Township 29

Senior guard Synai Blychanton registered a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Bucs (9-11) past the Patriots (11-11) and into the Round of 16. Senior guard Riley Joyce added 10 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Senior guard Riley Wheeler finished with seven points. Sophomore center Casey Miranda chipped in five points to go along with 10 rebounds and two blocks.

Senior Madison Sciarrino scored a game-high 13 points in the loss. Senior guard Chloe Glickman chipped in seven points.

Red Bank will travel to eighth-seeded St. Rose in the next round. The two teams split a pair of divisional games this season.

Sophomore forward Logan Wells scored a team-high 12 points, grabbed four rebounds, and came away with three steals as the Crimson Knights (7-12) turned back the Lions (9-14). Junior forward Hannah Morrow finished with eight points. Junior forward Ashlyn Holobinko added seven points, five assists, three rebounds, and three steals. Senior guard Sophia Koepping chipped in seven points.

Senior forward Brooklynn Bell poured in a game-high 25 points in the loss.

Non-Conference

Piscataway Magnet 33, Keyport 22

Senior Eva Hernandez scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Raiders (18-3) past the Red Raiders (5-10).

Senior guard Jenna O’Brien scored a team-high 11 points in the loss. Senior forward Gia Aceta added six points and 11 rebounds.
