Senior forward Addy Nyemchek poured in a game-high 22 points as the Caseys (29-2) rallied from an early deficit to defeat the Lancers (26-4) and advance to the Non-Public A State Championship.

St. John Vianney came out of the gate swinging as they led 13-8 at the end of the first quarter behind five early points and five rebounds from senior center Taylor Sofilkanich. The Lancers extended the lead to 19-8 midway through the second quarter. The Caseys rallied as they closed the half on a 13-0 run to take a 21-19 lead at halftime.

The Caseys extended the lead to 28-19 early in the third quarter as they completed a 20-0 run. They would lead 39-24 heading into the final quarter.

RBC senior guard Katie Liggio was lost to a knee injury in the first quarter and did not return to the game.

The Caseys will play defending champion Morris Catholic in the state championship on Thursday, March 12th at 1 p.m. at Rutgers University. Morris Catholic defeated Pingry 64-14 in the North Jersey Non-Public A Championship.
