Week 9 OIB Ortho Team of the Week: Colts Neck Girls Basketball

The Week 9 recipient of the 2026 OIB Ortho Girls Team of the Week is Colts Neck following a week in which the Cougars went 3-0 on their to capturing their first sectional title since 2014.
Colts Neck routed Westampton Tech 62-28 in the quarterfinals behind a team-high 15 points and five assists from sophomore point guard Emily Donahue. Senior forward Gabby Bryce added 12 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore forward Allison McAndrew finished with 11 points and six rebounds while sophomore forward Julianna Jasina finished with 11 points and four rebounds.
In the semifinals, the Cougars shut down Ewing with a strong defensive effort in a 42-29 win. McAndrew led the team with a game-high 15 points. Junior guard Mattilyn Caffiero added nine points. Donahue finished with eight points.
Colts Neck topped Red Bank in the Central Jersey Group 3 Championship 43-28 behind another stellar defensive effort and a 17-point and eight-rebound effort from McAndrew. Jasina finished with 12 points and six rebounds. Donahue added eight points and five assists.
The Cougars will play South Jersey champion Moorestown on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Central Regional High School. The winner will advance to Rutgers University for the Group 3 State Championship.
