Middletown North 37, Long Branch 12

Senior quarterback Lorelai Davis threw a pair of touchdowns to Sienna Perkins and a 35-yard catch-and-run score to Kylie Paige to help the Lions (1-0, 1-0) kick off the season with a win over the Green Wave (0-1, 0-1).

Davis also ran a punt back 25 yards for a touchdown, and Ayva Reid added a rushing touchdown and an extra point. Paige Marrone added a touchdown pass to Lilly Anna Mastropaolo. Kaelyn Gibson, Mia Acerra and Riley Ascolese led the defensive effort for Middletown North.
