Sophomore 1B Mackenzie Williams crushed a walk-off home run to center field in the bottom of the 7th inning to lead the Crimson Knights (1-0) past the Rebels (0-1) in an opening day thriller. Junior catcher Addison Lawrence finished 3-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, and five RBI’s. Sophomore 3B Essie Harr went 2-for-2 with two doubles, two walks, and two RBI’s. Sophomore SS Lily Brady was 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI’s.

Sophomore RF Ellie Beam finished 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, and three RBI’s in the loss. Junior 3B Hailey Ruditsky went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI’s. Senior 1B Madison Winemiller had a double along with a walk and two RBI’s.

Non-Division

Manchester 18, Manasquan 3 (5 innings)

Sophomore catcher Danica Rekus went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI’s as the Hawks (1-0) rolled over the Warriors (0-1). Senior pitcher Gabriella Minneci was 2-for-4 with three RBI’s and a walk. Junior CF Annabelle Gray went 3-for-5 with a triple, a double, and two RBI’s. Freshman RF Isabella Cellini-Winters finished 1-for-3 with a double, two RBI’s, and a walk. Gabriella Minneci struck out six batters and allowed just two hits, three walks, and three earned runs in the win.

Freshman CF Alyssa Martucci went 1-for-2 with a triple and two RBI’s in the loss. Sophomore 3B Calista Vowteras was 1-for-3 with an RBI single.

Shore 14, Trinity Hall 4 (6 innings)

Junior LF Ayden Kampf went 4-for-4 with a triple, a double, and four RBI’s as the Blue Devils (1-0) pulled away from the Monarchs (0-1). Junior RF Kelsey Orth was 2-for-4 with an inside-the-park home run and four RBI’s. Senior pitcher Dylann Lawrence was 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, and three RBI’s. Senior CF Olivia DeFonce went 3-for-4 with a walk and an RBI.

Senior C Elizabeth Romer went 2-for-3 with an RBI in the loss.
