No. 6 Toms River East 7, No. 2 Brick Memorial 6
Dominik Sabatino roped a game-tying double in the bottom of the sixth and Carson Frazier later gave Toms River East the lead with an RBI single as the Raiders rallied from a 4-0 deficit to beat the Mustangs two days after suffering an ugly, 16-1 loss to Brick Memorial in the 2026 season opener.
Joey DiMeo scored what proved to be the winning run on a wild pitch, capping a three-run sixth for Toms River East. Brick Memorial scored three runs in the top of the fourth inning and made it 4-0 on a solo home run by Dan Golembiewski in the top of the third. No. 8 Wall 9, Jackson 5 (8 innings)
Senior John Catanio hit a go-ahead two-run home run with two out in the top of the seventh inning and the Crimson Knights bounced back from surrendering the tying run in the bottom of the seventh by striking for four in the eighth on the way to a back-and-forth, extra-inning win over the Jaguars.
Sophomore Jackson Soos blasted a leadoff home run in the top of the first and tied the game, 3-3, with an RBI double in the top of the fifth inning. Jackson had taken a 3-2 lead on a three-run home run by Matt Galayda in the bottom of the third and in the bottom of the sixth, Carney O’Donnell chopped a single through the middle on a 1-2 offering to plate the go-ahead run.
With his Wall team trailing, 4-3, with two out in the top of the seventh, sophomore Chris Knight worked a seven-pitch walk to bring Catanio to the plate as the go-ahead run. On a 1-1 count, Catanio crushed a fastball over the leftfield fence, giving Wall a 5-4 lead.
Dan Hennessy retired the first two batters of the bottom of the seventh and jumped in front of Aiden Alu, 1-2, but a bobble by Soos at shortstop allowed Alu to reach with two out and sophomore Mike Fogarty ripped the first pitch he saw into the right-centerfield gap. The ball rolled all the way to the fence, allowing Alu to score from first to tie the game, 5-5.
In the top of the eighth, Will Hague led off with a walk and pinch-runner Jack Duffy came around to score on three wild pitches. Luke Dana also walked and scored on a wild pitch, while Jack Murphy also made it three straight walks to open the inning before scoring on an errant throw from pitcher Kyle Johnson to second base on a steal attempt with two out.
Knight capped the rally with a single through the middle to make it 9-5.

No. 9 Colts Neck 9, Pittsford Mendon (N.Y.) 1
After coming on to pitch with a two-run lead, Ronan Kiely gave himself some breathing room by leading off the bottom of the sixth inning with a single, then capping a seven-run inning with a two-run triple as the Cougars pulled away to beat Pittsford Mendon in their season-opener in Myrtle Beach.
Joe Pignatelli tripled home two runs, including Kiely, to make the score 4-1, which was the first of four consecutive run-scoring hits in the Colts Neck sixth. John Glusko dropped a bunt for a base hit that scored Pignatelli, Aiden Bain followed with an RBI triple and D.J. Bruck singled through the middle to score Bain and make it 7-1.
The first two Colts Neck runs came on a sacrifice fly by Bain in the second and an RBI single by Jack Dugo in the fourth, which set up Ryan Spencer to earn the win on the mound after he tossed five shutout innings.
