No. 5 Middletown South 7, No. 4 Manasquan 6

A game-winning goal from junior Alexis Marquis lifted the Eagles (2-0, 1-0) over the Warriors (2-1, 0-1) in a critical early season matchup. Junior attacker Hayley Jamison netted a hat trick. Marquis finished with two goals. Senior Abigail Gallagher and sophomore Ashley Penn each added a goal. Sophomore goalie Sophia Harper recorded seven saves.

Six different players each scored a goal in the loss for the Warriors including senior midfielder Ellie Sitar, junior attacker Anella Petracco, junior attacker Sarah Sharpe, junior midfielder Dylan Carnehan, sophomore attacker Chloe Stevens, and sophomore attacker Sabrina Boyle. Senior goalie Alexandra Stamos recorded three saves.

No. 1 Rumson-Fair Haven 11, No. 6 Red Bank 3

Junior Chloe Kelly went off for 5 goals and two assists as the Bulldogs (1-0, 1-0) pulled away from the Bucs (2-1, 0-1). Junior Aly Megaw added two goals. Junior Reese Lydon finished with a goal and an assist. Regan Haley, Celia Benedetto, and Becca Newell also each added a goal.

Senior Kathleen Deverin scored a goal and dished out an assist in the loss. Senior Chloe Keating and sophomore Maddie Pierson also each added a goal. Senior goalie Nora Tavares finished with nine saves.

Colonial

Toms River East 17, Lacey 6

Junior Libby Dickman and sophomore Ciley Francis each scored five goals and dished out an assist as the Raiders (1-0, 1-0) rolled over the Lions (1-3, 0-1). Senior Allison Momm netted three goals and recorded an assist. Sophomore Jaeda Batin added two goals and two assists. Senior Gianna Pascale and freshman Tara Dickman each added a goal. Senior goalie Angelina Murray recorded five saves in the win while freshman goalie Emily Bund also had five saves.

Sophomore Emily Slota scored a team-high four goals in the loss. Senior Amelia Mazur added a goal and two assists. Junior Addison Papa registered a goal and an assist.

No. 9 Barnegat 10, Point Boro 4

Junior Ella Tortorici scored three goals as the Bengals (2-0, 1-0) defeated the Panthers (1-1, 1-1). Junior Sadie Guiro finished with two goals. Senior Kylei Grant and junior Molly Carroll each added a goal and two assists. Senior Molly Ryan added a goal and an assist. Senior Skyler Perry and freshman Olivia Ludewig also added a goal. Senior goalie Allie Soden saved seven shots.

Junior Audrey Gilbert scored two goals in the loss. Senior Lily Scalabrini and junior Lucy Hauser each added a goal and an assist. Senior goalie Sloane Schwertheim saved four shots.

Constitution

Holmdel 12, Freehold Township 7

Sophomore Ryann Buchan scored four goals, won nine draw controls, and scooped six ground balls to lead the Hornets (3-0, 1-0) past the Patriots (2-1, 0-1). Junior midfielder Sunny Betz added three goals and one assist. Sophomore Madison Volpe finished with two goals. Junior Alexa Pilligrino, sophomore Anika Gravier, and freshman Kate Powers each added a goal. Freshman goalie Josephine Betz recorded seven saves.

Senior Reese Metcalfe scored three goals in the loss. Sophomore Brooke Jenkins added two goals and an assist. Senior Gianna Neron also added a goal. Senior goalie Melinda Gorton recorded nine saves.

Howell 8, Marlboro 6

Senior midfielder Kendall Bleakley netted four goals to lead the Rebels (1-0, 1-0) past the district rival Mustangs (2-2, 0-1). Senior midfielder Ava Brandt added a goal and an assist. Senior midfielder BellaRose Marino and junior attacker Madison Wilkes each added a goal. Junior midfielder Ella DeJesus had a strong game defensively forcing three turnovers. Junior goalie Emily Bustamante turned back eight shots.

Non-Division

Toms River North 13, New Egypt 8

Junior midfielder Lauren Kuhn netted three goals and dished out two assists to lead the Mariners (2-0) past the Warriors (2-2). Junior Olivia Forlenza and junior Bailey Lachowicz each added two goals and an assist. Junior attacker Ava Steenweg added a goal, an assist, scooped three ground balls, and won 10 draw controls. Senior attacker Reagan Catalano and junior defender Jayda Niedzielski each added a goal. Catalano also forced three turnovers.
