Owen Hughes singled home two runs in the top of the second inning and Pat Davis shut down the Wildcats from the mound before the Southern offense blew open the game with an eight-run fourth in a five-inning win over Pinelands in the Doc Cramer Classic.
Hughes later added a second two-run single to extend the lead to 7-0 in the fourth, which came after Nick Sabatino doubled home a run to make it 5-0. Brody Meyers also roped a two-run double in the eight-run fourth, which made the score 11-0.
