Freshman Daryn Heal ran for a pair of touchdowns and junior running back Olivia Brown and freshman Ashley Tiedemann each ran for a touchdown as the Cougars (1-2, 1-2) beat the Mustangs (1-1, 1-1) for their first win in school history.

Freshman quarterback Madelyn Budveit ran for a score, freshman running back Mia Ortizio had a pair of touchdowns and freshman Olivia DeAlmeida ran for a touchdown in the loss for Marlboro.

South

Pinelands 32, Brick 0

Senior quarterback Heidi Cyphert was 12-for-16 passing with 114 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown on six carries as the Wildcats (2-0, 2-0) blanked the Dragons (1-1, 1-1). Senior running back Jayla Kline rushed four times for 50 yards and a touchdown. Senior wideout Bree McCorry hauled in two touchdown passes of 10 and 18 yards respectively. Senior wideout Madison Fontanes hauled in five receptions for 42 yards including a 2-yard touchdown reception.

Kline had a masterful day on defense with 10 total tackles, three sacks, and an interception. Sophomore Julianne Platti recorded five sacks.
