Rich Cammaratta capped his 3-for-3 game at the plate with a single through the middle that scored pinch-runner Devin Kain with the winning run from third base in the bottom of the seventh and the Braves salvaged a season split with the Rebels behind a four-hit shutout by senior left-hander Noah Feldman.

No. 4 Red Bank Catholic 2, Ranney 1

Luke Lonczak ripped an RBI double and scored on a wild pitch in the third inning, which was enough offense for right-hander Glen Popes to pitch the Caseys past the Panthers in a complete-game three-hitter.

Miles Nessan led off the third with single and reached third on an errant pickoff attempt at first base before scoring on Lonczak’s double down the leftfield line. Lonczak moved up to third on a ground out and scored on a wild pitch before Aiden Funk hit a single for RBC’s third hit of the inning — the only hits the Caseys mustered against Ranney freshman Jake Abrams. In his first career complete game, Abrams set down the side in order in four of his six innings and after a leadoff walk in the second, he struck out the next three.

Popes worked around a base-runner in three of the first four innings to take a shutout in the fifth, when Ranney scratched across its lone run. Brody Mauro drew a one-out walk, stole second, advanced to third on a bloop single by David Cantin and scored on an RBI ground out by Nico Owimrin. Popes stranded the tying run at second base by coaxing a ground ball to third baseman Landon Laido, the retired the Panthers in order in each of his final two innings.

Class A South

No. 3 Wall 3, No. 6 Toms River East 0

Nick Plevier fired a four-hit shutout and wiggled out of trouble in the bottom of the sixth inning to preserve the lead and spark the Crimson Knights to a win over the Raiders that tightened their grip on first place in the Shore Conference Class A South standings.

Will Hague and Austin Harr each came through with an RBI single in the top of the sixth inning and in the bottom of the frame, Toms River East loaded the bases with none out. Plevier induced a pop-up, then coaxed an inning-ending, five-six double-play to keep the shutout intact. Max Mika hit a two-out single in the bottom of the seventh to keep Toms River East alive, but Plevier got a fly out to end the game.

Freehold Township 4, Ocean 0

Senior right-hander Jackson Redmond fired a two-hit shutout with 13 strikeouts on only 73 pitches and the Patriots ended a four-game slide behind the dominant performance from the Seton Hall commit.

Ed Gudaitis reached base in all three of his plate appearances and scored runs in both the second and sixth innings, while Skylar Garcia gave Redmond some insurance with a pinch-hit RBI single in the bottom of the sixth.

No. 5 Rumson-Fair Haven 11, No. 7 Colts Neck 6

Casper Billington hit a go-ahead two-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to highlight a productive showing from the middle of Rumson’s order and Brady Dill settled the game down with 4 1/3 no-hit innings of relief to help the Bulldogs hand the Cougars their first loss of the season.

Dan McElduff stroked two-run singles in both the first and sixth innings and D.J. Ylagan hit one of his two doubles in the sixth to extend Rumson’s lead to 8-6. Rumson’s No. 2 through 5 hitters — Ylagan, Billington, Brady Williams and McElduff — combined to go 8-for-15 with two doubles, a homer, five walks, six runs scored and nine RBI.

After falling behind, 4-1, Colts Neck surged to a 6-4 lead with a five-run third inning, highlighted by a go-ahead, bases-clearing triple by John Glusko that made it 6-4.

Andrew Barham had a hand in all three run-scoring hits by Shore, then came on to record the final two outs on the mound to save the win for Liam Hennelly, deliver the Blue Devils their third straight victory, and snap a seven-game winning streak by the Lancers.

Barham singled and scored on an RBI single by Trevor Doremus in the top of the second inning and in the top of the sixth, he laced a two-run double before scoring on an RBI single by Braden Calandriello to give Hennelly a four-run cushion heading to the final two innings.

Barham took over with the score 4-0, one out and runners on second and third and gave up an RBI single to Anthony Bavaro, who was caught attempting to stretch his single into a double for the second out of the inning. Barham retired the next batter on a fly out to Doremus in leftfield to end the game.

Neptune 5, Henry Hudson 4

Javier Gordon hit the first of three straight run-scoring hits that plated five runs with two out in the top of the fifth, then finished off a five-inning outing on the mound that carried the Scarlet Fliers to a key division win over the Admirals.

Henry Hudson cut down a run at home plate on a single by Andrew Wardell for the second out of the second inning, which momentarily kept the game scoreless. Neptune loaded the bases with two out and Gordon squared up a single to centerfield to plate the first two runs of the game. Julian Lemus then struck an infield single to score Tucker Davidson from third and Jordan Roman capped the rally with a two-run double to give the Scarlet Fliers a 5-0 lead.

Marshall Colangelo doubled and scored on an infield single by Jack Dail to break up Gordon’s shutout bid in the fourth inning and Henry Hudson put the pressure on after Lemus replaced Gordon on the mound in the bottom of the sixth. Nathan Boms led off the bottom of the sixth with a home run and Isaiah Locklear delivered a two-out, two-run single to pull the Admirals within 5-4. Neptune, however, threw out a runner at third base to end the inning and Neptune completed the win by doubling off a runner at first base on a pop-out in shallow rightfield for the final out.

Red Bank 8, Raritan 5 (9 Innings)

Jake Senkeleski and Brennan Albanese each hit an RBI single in a three-run ninth inning and Jack Monahan finished off a three-inning relief stint with a scoreless ninth to nail down a win for the Bucs over the Rockets that snaps Red Bank’s four-game losing streak.

Casey Lillis collected four hits in the game, including a one-out double that started the winning rally in the ninth. Lillis scored the winning run on an infield single by Senkeleski with the bases loaded.

Red Bank rallied from a 3-0 deficit to tie the game, 3-3, by the top of the fifth. Eric McCartney then answered with an RBI double that gave Raritan a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the fifth, but Red Bank hit back in the top of the sixth with two runs — the first scoring on an error and the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly by Jack Forsyth.

Monahan was one strike away from earning the save in the bottom of the seventh, but Marko Brown came through with a game-tying RBI infield single with two out to send the game to extra innings.
