The Mustangs exploded for 10 runs in the top of the seventh inning, including home runs by Sean Collins, Dan Golembiewski and Tyler Garbooshian, and held on to secure their 20th win of the season by swinging their way past the Rebels.

Collins led off the inning with the first home run of his career and Golembiewski catapulted Brick Memorial into the lead, 5-3, with a three-run homer, which also pushed him into sole possession for the Shore Conference lead with 10 on the season.

Garbooshian hit an RBI single ahead of Golembiewski’s go-ahead home run and capped the seventh-inning outburst with an opposite-field grand slam to rightfield that grew the Mustangs lead to 10-3. Evan Meyer also contributed an RBI double during the Brick Memorial rally.

Connor Acker ripped a two-run double and Jake Liotti singled home a run during a noisy bottom of the seventh for Howell, but Will Montanye closed out his first win of the season without allowing the tying run to come to the plate.
