OIB Ortho/Joe Leone’s Week 6 Shore Conference Football Team of the Week: Point Beach
Shore Sports Insider OIB Ortho/Joe Leone’s Team of the Week – Week 6
Shore Sports Insider is proud to partner with OIB Ortho this fall to present our weekly OIB Ortho Football Team of the Week Award, recognizing one Shore Conference program for its accomplishments on the field. We are also thrilled to welcome Joe Leone’s as a co-sponsor, providing a very generous $500 Pasta Party Gift Card each week to celebrate the winning team.
The Week 6 recipient of the 2026 OIB Ortho/Joe Leone’s Football Team of the Week is Point Beach after delivering a dominating performance against Keansburg, clinching at least a share of their second consecutive division championship — marking the first back-to-back division titles in program history!
Senior running back Danny Neal set the tone early, breaking loose for touchdown runs of 20 and 50 yards in the opening quarter. The Garnet Gulls continued to pour it on as junior running back Tommy Aiosa added an 11-yard touchdown run, while junior fullback Gage Boyle powered his way into the end zone from seven yards out.
Junior quarterback Billy Cavanaugh provided one of the night’s biggest highlights, connecting with sophomore tight end Ethan Sulkowski on a spectacular 90-yard touchdown pass. Cavanaugh finished an impressive 4-for-5 passing for 167 yards and a touchdown, helping Point Beach build a commanding 41-0 halftime lead.
The Garnet Gulls’ defense was equally impressive, highlighted by senior defensive lineman Allan Micheletti’s end-zone interception and a fumble recovery by sophomore Trey Reme.
Shore Sports Insider along with a special guest Joe Introna, the founder of Joe Leone’s Italian Specialties stopped by practice to present the Point Beach Team with a commemorative game ball and the $500 pasta party gift card.
Congratulations to Point Beach, the Week 6 OIB Ortho/Joe Leone’s Football Team of the Week!
