The Warriors (25-5) edged past the Pirates (30-2) to advance to the Group 2 State Championship behind 13 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists from senior guard Jordyn Hollawell. Senior guard Shannon Looney added 11 points. Sophomore guard Calista Vowteras chipped in eight points.

Hollawell found Looney on a terrific backdoor cut with 1:17 left to give the Warriors a 33-31 lead. On the ensuing possession, Hollawell came up with the ball and nearly fell out of bounds but managed to call a timeout in time. Hollawell then drained two clutch free throws with 30 seconds remaining. After Cinnaminson layup to cut the score to 35-33, Hollawell hit one final free throw to extend the lead to 36-33. After a missed free throw, a Cinnaminson player inexplicably drove to the basket instead of attempting a game-tying three-pointer essentially sealing the game.

Manasquan will play Caldwell in the Group 2 State Championship on Saturday at Rutgers University at 4 p.m.
