6-Toms River North 10, 11-St. John Vianney 5
Senior midfielder Ben Misa delivered three goals and one assist and senior midfielder Robert Wingender posted a hat trick to lead the Mariners (10-5) past the Lancers (4-11) and into the quarterfinals of the Coaches Cup.
Senior goalie Charlie Machamer made 13 saves to help thwart a significant possession advantage for St. John Vianney, which had sophomore Ethan Hunter win 17 of 18 face-offs. Senior middie Cooper Lachowicz scored twice, junior Patrick Hirtes had a goal and two assists, and senior attackman Anthony Montalban had a goal and an assist.
Hunter had a goal and an assist in addition to his excellent face-off work for the Lancers and freshman goalie Anthony Cassella made 15 saves. Senior Blake Hawthorn registered two goals and one assist, senior Brendan Allens scored twice, and sophomore Owen Horan dished out two assists.
Toms River North will play at No. 3 seed Ocean in the quarterfinals. The teams met on May 2 with the Mariners earning a 9-5 win.
Nondivisional
No. 10 Middletown South 14, Barnegat 8
Sophomore midfielder Ryan Colacichi scored four goals and junior attackman Jackson O’Keefe recorded a hat trick, while senior Kenny Rodriguez and junior Ian McQuillan combined to dominate the face-off X as the Eagles (8-7) snapped the Bengals’ (13-2) 12-game winning streak.
Senior Leo Abate tallied two goals and two assists, junior Luke Gaffney posted two goals and one assist, and senior Joe Sarci had a goal and an assist. Sophomore Ryab McCarthy and junior Leo Jacinto added one goal each. Rodriguez and McQuillan combined to go 23-for-26 on face-offs and senior goalie Matt Mason made six saves.
Senior midfielder Bailey Carroll, senior attackman Jason McHale and junior midfielder Keagan Dunn had two goals and one assist each for Barnegat. Senior midfielder Luke Tortorici added a goal and two assists and senior attackman Jakob Jason scored once.
Central 6, Jackson Liberty 2
Junior attackman Jake Agugliaro struck for a hat trick and added one assist, and senior goalie Brady Etzkorn made 13 saves to lead the Golden Eagles (7-4) to a victory over the Lions (1-10).
Senior attackman Brian Vannote tallied two goals and one assist and senior defenseman Donovan Lange scored his first career goal.

No. 9 Holmdel 12, Northern Burlington 3
Sophomore attackman David Perrotti delivered a hat trick and junior attackman Finn Buchan totaled two goals and four assists to power the Hornets (6-7) to a thorough win over the Greyhounds (11-3).
Junior defenseman Marcus Cermele continued his excellent offensive season with two goals and one assist to give him 26 points this season. Freshman midfielder Anthony Serini also scored twice while senior midfielder Ryan Pescatore and sophomore midfielder Joey Marino had a goal and an assist each. Senior attackman Brian Volpe chipped in with one goal. Senior FOGO Jack Powers won 15 of 17 face-offs to add to his state record of 1,062 wins and counting, and junior goalie Jack Tiller made seven saves.
Wall 15, Mainland 6
Senior midfielder Michael Hoarle scored a career-high seven goals and added two assists and 10 ground balls, while junior attackman Wyatt Capro delivered five goals and one assist as the Crimson Knights (6-9) strong-armed the Mustangs (9-5) in a non-conference matchup.
Senior goalie Braeden Buckley made 17 saves and senior attackman Owen Moore distributed four assists. Junior midfielder Dylan Cohen went 10-for-13 on face-offs and added a goal and an assist. Senior Jackson Lemongelli had a goal and two assists and junior midfielder Patrick Freud had a goal and an assist. Freshman midfielder Luke Harmon went 5-for-8 on face-offs and picked up four ground balls.
