Shore 6, Manasquan 4

A 2 goal and 1 assist performance from both Senior Gabby O’Brien and Sophomore Marielle Montenegro helped Shore (3-0) win an important early season divisional game against Manasquan (1-1). O’Brien also forced 3 turnovers in what was a tightly contested defensive game. Senior Kendall Bennett and Sophomore Ava Matthews both scored 1 goal. Senior goalie Sophia Merten recorded 11 saves in the win for the Blue Devils

Senior Sophia Evans scored 2 goals. Junior Ellie Sitar and Freshman Chloe Stevens added 1 goal each. Sophomore Anella Petracco tallied 3 assists. Junior Alexandra Stamos recorded 8 saves in the loss for the Warriors.

 

 

Independence Division

New Egypt 16, Long Branch 1

Junior duo Madison Adam and Aimee Kovacs led New Egypt (2-0) to a lopsided win over Long Branch (1-2) with 7 goals apiece. Adam finished with 7 goals and 2 assists. For Kovacs, the 7 goals were a new single game career-high. Junior Lily Nadler and Freshman Lucia Sloan also scored 1 goal. Junior goalie Abigail Melchior recorded 5 saves in the win for the Warriors.

Senior Sherline Reyes-Lopez scored the lone goal for the Green Wave on an assist from Sophomore Brittany Garcia-Mendoza.

 

Nondivisional

Freehold Township 10, Ocean 7

Freehold Township (3-1) defeated Ocean (1-3) behind a balanced scoring effort. Junior Reese Metcalfe scored 2 goals and tallied 2 assists. Seniors Chloe Walters and ALyssa Costagiola as well as Freshman Addison Freyre each scored 2 goals. Senior Abbi Lemberger and Junior Maddie Reiser both scored 1 goal. Freshman Brook Jenkins tallied 1 assist. Senior goalie Savannah Ziccardi recorded 4 goals in the win for the Patriots.

Junior Brooke Todd scored a game-high 5 goals and Junior Maddie Kirchner added 1 goal and 1 assist in the loss for the Spartans.

 

Point Pleasant Boro 6, Colts Neck 0

A stifling defensive performance led Point Pleasant Boro (2-1) past Colts Neck (1-1) in a shutout victory. Junior goalie Sloane Schwertheim recorded 6 saves while Sophomore Lucy Hauser forced 5 turnovers to lead the defense. Junior Francesca Skowronski scored 2 goals and tallied 2 assists. Junior Lily Scalabrini scored 2 goals. Hauser also chipped in on offense with a goal while Sophomore Aubrey Gilbert also added a goal in the win for the Panthers.

 

Toms River East 17, Manchester 3

Senior Grace Crowley and Junior Allison Momm each scored 3 goals and tallied 1 assist to lead Toms River East (2-1) to a lopsided victory over Manchester (1-2). Senior Maria Hayduk scored 2 goals while Senior Brooke Brattole scored 1 goal and tallied 2 assists. Freshmen Jaeda Batin and Lana Rojas  as well as Sophomore Kacey Briles all scored 1 goal and 1 assist. Five more Raiders scored a goal including Freshman Ciley Francis, Freshman Charlotte Standfast, Junior Alyssa Southworth, Junior Keira Carney, and Junior Gianna Pascale. Senior goalie Gianna Addesso recorded 5 saves and Junior goalie Angelina Murray recorded 1 save in the win for the Raiders.

Senior Riley McGuire scored 2 goals while Junior Isabella Erli scored 1 goal and Sophomore Mya Giaccone tallied 1 assist in the loss for the Hawks.

 

Holmdel 10, Brick 5

Holmdel (3-1) defeated Brick (2-2) behind a pair of hat tricks from Senior Claudia Diaz and Junior Avery Dubin. Diaz and Dubin finished with 3 goals and 1 assist on the day. Freshman Ryann Buchan scored 2 goals while Junior Avery Granata and Sophomore Charlotte Wall each scored 1 goal. Senior Ava Munafo tallied 2 assists while Junior Preeya Chen forced a team-high 4 turnovers on defense in the win for the Hornets.

 

Barnegat 12, Jackson Memorial 1

A career-high 5 goals from Senior Emilia Ercolino and 4 goals and 2 assists from Sophomore Tortorici helped Barnegat (2-1) roll in a victory over Jackson Memorial (0-2). Tortorici’s 6 points were a new single game career-high. Junior Lizzie Medina and Sophomore Sadie Guiro each scored 1 goal and tallied 3 assists while Sophomore Molly Carroll scored 1 goal and Junior Kylei Grant tallied 1 assist. Junior Allie Soden recorded 2 saves in the win for the Bengals.

Junior Abby Wisniewski scored the lone goal in the loss for the Jaguars.

 

Marlboro 11, Middletown North 3

 

Non-Conference

Moorestown 15, Rumson-Fair Haven 8

Rumson-Fair Haven (1-2) fell to Moorestown (4-0) who is the number 1 ranked team in the state according to NJ Advance Media’s rankings. The Bulldogs built a 4-3 lead at the end of the 1st quarter before falling behind 7-4 at the half and never recovering from there. Senior Rachel James scored a team-high 2 goals and tallied an assist in the loss. Six other Bulldogs recorded 1 goal including Senior Daisen Iwan, Sophomore Chloe Kelly, Senior Mia Milkowski, Senior Kendall Carcaterra, Sophomore Aly Megaw, and Sophomore Reese Lydon.

Moorestown was paced by Rutgers commit Katie Bianco who scored 4 goals and tallied 2 assists.

 

Pingry 14, Trinity Hall 7

Pingry (2-1) defeated Trinity Hall (2-2) behind a 5 goal effort from Princeton commit Becca Kirschner.

Trinity Hall Senior Mary Catherine O’Connor scored 3 goals and tallied 1 assist. Freshman Sarina DeRosa scored 2 goals. Freshman Lyla Lu scored 1 goal and tallied 1 assist while Senior Lily Wood added 1 goal in the loss for the Monarchs.
